Not entirely sure how I did it, but for some reason my general chat is now separate from the rest.

nearly got me killed when it popped up in the middle of a fight dead center of the screen.

How do I put it back with the rest?

Used to be some file you could delete that had that among other settings specific to your character. Once deleted the game re-created the file bringing it all back to default. Not too sure where that is hidden now.

You can right click the General window and choose Destroy, then create a new tab on your chat window and set that up like the original was. The downside is it will not be in the original place.

Just drag it back to the rest, should pop back into place iirc.

However, there has been a glitch with that since... well, at least 2009...

After resetting the chat windows at least one of them doesn't do outgoing text correctly, so you'll manually have to set the outgoing text on at least one window.
