Aight been gone for a long while now.
Doing a "monkcher" which I have sort of, a while back someone posted a build called Blasphemous Abomination build which was a 9monk/11ranger that had stunning fist, touch of death and many shot as well as being half elf with cleric dilly for heals/res or rogue dilly for extra sneak.
I am reading through these threads which are pretty active right now which is awesome but having a hard time nailing down what path to take.
I noticed the cap is 28 now, which are those 8 epic destiny levels?
On the build it will be 36 point, the character has 2 monk past lives and 1 fighter.
SO for builds...
18/2 Monk/rgr - Not sure the line up for this yet, just read a build post on it. Guessing the bonus is going for stance 4?
12/6/2 Monk/rgr/fighter? - 12 monk I guess for stance 3(water/earth?)
9/11 Monk/ranger - Not sure if still viable, gives all the archery and twf feats free making dex req's easier, but only stance 2.
IF I could get some advice or opinions or even a nudge in the right direction it would be appreciated.

12/6/2 split is still the strongest imo. There's alot of viable choices for the 2 now though, my preferred choices being: fighter, druid, fvs.
As far as monk stances go, they can now be taken in regular feat slots provided you have 1 monk level, and meet the minimum level requirement per feat. (ie. 6,12,18)
8fighter/6monk/6ranger is also a very strong split these days.

Interesting, does that build use primarily bow exclusively?
Also what benefit does 2 druid give?

access to empower heal.
rams might spell
I'm a big fan of beguile, (it slows trash by 25%)
I use bows full time on the toon now, archery has come a long way.

Nice, how are bows at low and mid level?
Is it all in the ED levels or did they buff Bow across the board?

You're correct about rams might. Your wrong about empower healing.
Rangers get their first cure spell in a level 2 spell slot, it takes 8 ranger levels to get level 2 spells, rangers don't qualify for empower heal without level 2 spells.

I'm still digging the 12monk/6rgr/2arti split (sadly I am awaiting TR and used the +20 heart to make it a Ranger past life so I'm in limbo. It works, but I miss the aforementioned split. I like the 2 arti because you get a tier of scroll master, a lever puller dog, and a perfectly high UMD. It's not the maximum DPS but it's pretty decent in FOTW and ultra survivable. Scrolling tenser's, heal scrolls, GH, et al. I went pretty high on wisdom for 10k stars. It was like riding in an old Crown Vic. Not the fanciest but a pretty smooth ride... fast ride.
I wanted to TR into a jugger but since I'm not playing as much lately, I may just TR into that split again, this time with 2 ranger PLs.

Ah, true. I'd forgotten about that, it's been so long since I've looked at my ranger 6's spells.

Hi, did you ever select a build? I am leaning towards the 12/6/2 and looking for links. Thanks

I've rolled the 12monk/6ranger/2fighter Monkcher build and its pretty solid.
For my next life i wanted to have a bit more self healing so i went Halfling with the dragon marks of healing and 11 Ranger/7 monk/2 fighter. This gets empowered healing for cocoon and the dragon marks, Wholeness of Body, and cure moderate wounds and various ranger spells. Picked up 3rd tier earth stance for the crit modifier. This has been a fun build and with a +4 tome i was able to get overwhelming critical. I do miss abundant step though.
I highly recommend grabbing the ki regeneration from henshi and/or grandmaster of flowers. having these allows you to almost constantly remain ranged without running out of ki for ten thousand stars.
