Sell me your Soul

my next life is going to be a caster Soul and Im looking for the input of some experienced FvS players to explain to me why they are so good.

The only experience I have is with WF melee Souls and I did not enjoy it very much at all.

I normally run a TWF Juggy, a Cleric (built as an EE quest / raid healbot) and a WF AM


Ive read that the caster Soul is an excellent variant of the class but I cannot but help compare it to my Wizzy and all I see is a non versatile caster i.e. Implosion, Destruction and BB (plus healing)

Im not trolling (certainly not intentionally anyway). I want to (need to) know why they're so great as Im planning to take the next three lives as one.

If anyone could spare the time to enlighten me it would be much appreciated because as of right now Im not looking forward to it very much.

(in case it helps, mine will have 3 Sorc and either 1 or 2 Wiz PLs)

Wis based, lots of evoc and necro DC. Simplicity.

Spam BB, kite. Sure, it's not diverse, but in all seriousness.. just how many spells do you need on a wizard, buffs aside?

Fireball+firewall until you get finger, then just rock finger 'till cap, spamming meta'd DoTs on the boss.

Pretty much this. BB is like firewall (win button) but better - you don't even have to wait to roast em in it, just sprint to the end laying down BB and things die trying to follow you. The thing with divines is their spells are untyped/physical and light which works on pretty much everything.
