View Full Version : Life Stealing on Cormyrian weapons - It exists, and it works!

Decided to burn some ingredients tonight since they dramatically lowered the costs. Fifth turn in, I got a spenntouched shuriken with life stealing on it. I had read somewhere on the forums that people hadn't seen it since 19.2, and those who had claimed it didn't proc.

Turns out it does drop, and it does proc. At least on throwing weapons.

So there ya go. I tried again with shortswords, but after ~30 tries I ran out of ingreds and didn't get life stealing.

Nice and good for you that you got something like life stealing for the ingredient turn ins.

Hmn, shouldn't that read life draining as when ever it procs you don't get anything in return for it?

Yep, i got my Life Stealing Shuriken in less than 20 attempts and it works.

The weapon still does steal their life....but no one ever said it'd give it to YOU :)

I thought the bug wasn't that it didn't work but that it only worked on a roll of 20 instead of on all critical hits?

Yep, i got my Life Stealing Shuriken in less than 20 attempts and it works.

I thought the bug wasn't that it didn't work but that it only worked on a roll of 20 instead of on all critical hits?

Ah I couldn't test that, as I don't have the proper improved crit feat to give me an expanded crit range on a shuriken.

Well I missed it also, so thanks for the heads up :)

That's quite a bit of farming still, but life stealing on a high crit weapon is wildly powerful against EE orange names. For the first few hits you're probably doing tens of thousands of damage a swing.
