I have a 20th level Kensai Fighter and have been playing with the idea of wearing robes and twisting in Dance of Flowers for an additional 1.5[W] damage to my greataxe. I had some experience with my paladin's "weapons of good" core enhancement not bypassing good DR recently, and decided to run some tests to see if I actually was gaining the extra 1.5[W] when using the axe and a robe.
From what I can tell, Dance of Flowers works perfectly if I have GMoF active and a ki bar present; the damage increase is clear and noticable. As soon as I turn it into a Twist and activate another ED - with no ki bar - the damage immediately drops back to normal levels. I tried comparing a twisted Dance of Flowers and twisting something else instead, and the damage appeared identical. Activated GMoF to gain a ki bar - damage immediately went back up.
Is this WAI? I read One with the Blade to say that the weapon "gains centering", and allows use of GMoF abilities. I understood that to mean I could twist in a GMoF ability and I would still be centered because of the enhancement. I'd like to know if this is by design so I know whether I need to start planning my build around this or what.
