My search skillz might not be very good but I haven't found a whole lot about these Fatesinger abilities on the forums except some older threads which didn't give very clear answers. Before I spend too much time on testing and too much money on respeccing back and forth, I thought I'd check if more experienced bard players know the following:
The DCs. An older thread states that the DC can be seen in the tool tip but I can't see it in mine. I jumped into an EE Demands, chucked it on the red named mistress and it stuck (both Bound and Grim). Given that my Charisma isn't spectacular, I'm assuming the DC is probably derived from Perform? An older thread stated that Grim Fate a separate DC and save roll. Is this true?
Duration. The description on Bound Fate says "for one minute is also 12% more vulnerable to magical damage etc.", then it goes on to say "Duration: 45 seconds". A Turbine classic? The description of Grim Fate says 1 minute. Are these correct?
What do they work on? As I said, it seemed to work on the red named in EE Demands. Does it work on all red nameds on all difficulties? What about purple named. An older thread said it worked on some raid bosses but not on others. Is there any more precise empiric data on this?
Basically I'm trying to figure out whether they're a good investment on my bard who's mainly focused on boosting the group's damage on bosses - she's not much of a soloer and doesn't compete with dedicated melees. These Fates sound like potentially useful abilities but there are a lot of good alternatives in Fatesinger I could put my points into.
Thanks in advance!
