Well my Clerics have plenty of feats, but they are not pure.

I like CLR17/WIZ1 and then FTR2 added at the end, but now with Cleric 18 being nice for that sunburst spell I don't know about FTR2. Maybe just FTR1. That is a lot more feats to open up EDs like Spell Focus or Spell Pen even on a melee cleric. Now with 3 epic feat slots too. That Sunburst seems expensive to use though?

Also the Incredible Healing increased by 3 lvls.
Incredible Healing: The maximum caster level of your Positive Energy Spells are increased by 1/2/3.
Intense Healing: Your Positive Energy Spells are cast at +1/+2/+3 caster level.
So I need to add one if I add the other?

How does that work?
And also considering a multi class Cleric.

I like multiclassed Clerics as well, having played both caster Clonks and Fighter/Paladin splashed melee Clerics. I have never played around with Sunburst before getting it on my Clonk, and I've come to a few conclusions about it:

It's good AoE damage against Undead and Ooze (4-6 per caster level Light damage. At caster level 20, that is 80-120, non-crit, without bonuses to spellpower.)
It's not such great AoE damage against everything else (6-36 Light damage)
It has a blinding component
Maximized, Empowered, Heightened and Quickened cost is 80sp (Without metamagic cost reduction from items/enhancements). Not that expensive compared to Blade Barrier or some of the other single target damage spells.
It takes a bit of practice to aim it right. The mobs must be hard targeted.

With that in mind, I don't think it's worth taking 18 levels Cleric just to get Sunburst. It's a nice perk to have a larger spell selection, but the damage against everything except undead and ooze isn't that great, and both the damaging portion of the spell and the blinding portion have saves. Enemies take half damage on a failed save, and are not blinded if they fail their save. So... unless you're playing and speccing the Cleric as a caster, it isn't the best spent 80sp, in my opinion.

On top of that, you don't get it until relatively late in the game, when you really don't see too many undead mobs. The tooltip says that light-fearing undead may be instantly destroyed, but vampires are the only light fearing undead I can think of. You'd have to red-skull Temple of Vol to see those pretty purple numbers you're salivating over.

Sunburst is a terrible selection.. whoever developed that enhancement should be cockpunched. Just use your SLAs, don't bother wasting SP on it.

Looks like someone hasn't seen a cleric sunburst with the new blind mechanics... *shhh let's keep that a secret. Advice from a 4th life pure caster 20 cleric? take sunburst. take evoc. avoid the lure of necro. profit greatly.

I use sunburst on my evocation druid all the time. I use the SLA and the spell itself. I love it. I don't meta the spell version and I just spam it everywhere - it really reduces the damage that mobs do to your party.
