Inflict Serious Wounds pots not working right

I bought some Inflict Serious Wounds pots at the Portable Hole. The spell description says "Target: Foe or Undead Friend".

So I wanted to test it, found an undead friend, put the pots on my hotbar, clicked, and (you guessed it) ....



(Combat): You attempt to save versus inflict serious wounds. You roll a 15 (+52): save!
(Combat): You suffer 12 points of damage from Inflict Serious Wounds.

Curious, I went into a quest instance and tried to damage a "foe". Same thing.

I'd assume that these are just for Pale Master self-healing, but why not just say that on the spell description?

The potions just copy the spell description; they didn't bother fixing it to be correct.

The spell Inflict Serious Wounds work like the description, but the potion is self only.

Thanks for the reply. That's what I figured, but I wish there were better options for Clerics to heal PMs. They're always bouncing around trying not to get hit, and you have to be directly facing them to cast Harm.

In the giant scheme of things, it's a minor peeve, but it's always been something that annoyed me.

allot of the pots say the wrong thing, a few of them work but most do not too bad they cant do something simple like READ before they make changes to stuff wiat
