View Full Version : Berserker Fury (active past life feat) and Rage stacking?

I was under the impression that this wasn't supposed to be the case. But I could be patently wrong.

I just noticed it today after I redid my 13Fi/3Barb - was tinkering with things and pulled the old berserker fury out of feats while resetting the bars. I hit it on a whim then hit rage and lo and behold the strength bonuses stacked - redid it and hit a rage clicky first - all three stacked.

Did I miss a memo or something?

I'm pretty sure these always stacked since the PL: Feats inception.

I've used it on my bard build with Barbarian. So Barb Rage, Rage Spell and Berserker Fury - the trick was to cast rage before I Barbarian Raged or I was SOL.

I don't play alot of barbs (and only have one or two characters with it as a past life) so I don't really pay attention to the barb stuff......but I do distinctly recall some kind of nerf that the Barbs cried foul over with respect to rage stacking and the past life feats. Thus the post above.

Edumacate me please!

the nerf you are thinking of is that the Past Life Active feat actually helped increase the length of time a Barbarian Rage was active.

This was an unintended "feature" of the Past Life ability.

Really - they nerfed an extra 12 seconds of rage from the con bonus? Or before the timers added together?

There was a hidden, passive and pretty important +duration to barbarian rage if you had the active barb PL.
The clicky has always been terrible, but since it came with that huge duration increase, people took it.

When they nerfed it, they added the flat +20 HP to it so the feat still has uses (mostly to people TRing a lot who want the HP bump at very very low levels, but don't care about end-game min/max). But the clicky itself hasn't changed.
