View Full Version : Do the Ninjutsu Toggle effects depend upon failed Touch of Despair saves?

Hi!

I have a question about some enhancements in the Ninja Spy tree. I'd like to know if the Ninjutsu enhancements (like Wave of Despair) will affect mobs regardless of whether or not they save against the Touch of Despair finishing move. In other words, do mobs need to fail the save against the Touch of Despair curse to be affected by the effects of these Ninjutsu enhancement toggles?

I haven't played a monk yet and DDOwiki doesn't answer this question at the moment. And, since I can't easily roll a test Monk right now, I'm hoping that a kind soul can help me out with some information. Thank you in advance, kind soul! [or favored soul as the case may be *har* *har*]

Yes, the finisher has to land and the mob has to fail the save for the toggle effects to work. The wave of despair looks pretty cool when surrounded by a large group, but by and large I didn't find them terribly useful and ultimately gave them all up when I decided Touch Of Death wasn't worth the point investment any more.

k, thanks Nozzle. This might make a big difference in a build I'm planning.
