XP Pot Question

So I'm not really a new player per se, but I do have a question.

I have this Superior XP Elixir that I got in a Daily Dice roll (iirc thats the name...anyway its a 50% XP boost for 3 hours).

My question is, if I go into a long quest (i.e. The Pit) and I wait to pop the potion till I know I'm like 5 minutes away from finishing the entire quest, will the potion still work to get the XP boost for that quest?

Just asking cause its a very long run (at least for me, takes me like an hour and a half to do The Pit). At my toon's level (9), The PIt is a pretty good chunk of XP, but I'd rather avoid using most of the XP boost on one quest.

It will give you the full bonus if you pop it before you finish. And then the race will be on to get the most bang from the rest of it. I like to line up a few slayer counts a couple kills from the next big tier and then go gather em all up with the pot running.

Thanks! :) Yeah I should think about lining up some runs I can do after I pop the potion and finish the looooong quest. Maybe runs I can do quickly, but then they usually aren't the ones with the better XP. Well maybe I can blast through the Deleras chain in a couple hours. Need to do that to get my VotM for this toon anyway.Thanks again for the info! :)

Lots of folks like to pop them right before they finish. Especially when they are going to bang out some big XP runs... Trying to avoid off color comments... Really...

Ya mean like "Banging out that stinky Pit and popping one just before I finish"? :p
