Enhancement Events!

Lamannia will open tomorrow morning for the second Enhancement Preview! In addition to discussing the New Enhancements, we would like run through a few quests with level 10 or level 20 characters. There is even a chance to run quests with one of us!

Create a level 10 or level 20 character and join Vargouille, KookieKobold, and Squeak on the following days and times in the Test Dojo to run some quests and chat! You can also use "/joinchannel DevChat" to join in on the conversation.

Thanks for answering Varg, I am sure they will be done in a future patch.


Any chance of adding some epic level pet enhancements when you do work on them, pets just disappear post level 20 as their power takes a steep dive compared to ED power gains.



P.S. pet enhancements need to be quadrupled in power as well. Sure an enhancement for a player that adds 40% double strike, 40 bluff etc, seems high. But for a pet with only two gear slots, it really isn't .

Actually, I already have one... During Alpha, I had asked Varg if tooltips or something were going to be developed so that we could see all ranks of an an enhancement (i.e. [0/3]) before we start to buy into it....

He said they were working on it.


Since people still don't know about how the current UI works (Left click spend, right click unspend before apply), is there any documentation on the UI other than "Gutta buy the first core before spending in the tree" thing?

That new launcher again? I thought you got rid of that junk? I get a problem that says "cannot continue because en-GB/DDO EULA - Turbine.html cannot be located. Any ideas/solutions gratefully accepted.

Fixed it, I made a copy of my en folder and then renamed it to en-GB.

What is wrong with the Old Launcher that means you have to implement the new Fugly one?

Also I had the same EULA missing issue with the new LOTRO Launcher, I bug reported it and they did something on their end to fix it, no patch or download seemed to be required on my end.

This makes me think that there is a file hosted on one of your servers somewhere which holds the EULA in question, the thing that pops up if you've not logged into the client or there's been a change/patch etc, and it's missing from the proper location on your end when the launcher goes to look for it.

Maybe have a chat with the LOTRO team who fixed it for me in under a day?

Just tried logging into Lammania, same issue, can't find the EULA. I was fully patched up and able to log in the last time Lamma was open.

My launcher is not updating successfully. It gets stuck on the file client_map_1.datxxx (the number varies, but its always this file). I have tried this 10 times over at least.

I was facing the same problem with the earlier update as well, never got into the server. Bug reported it, but got no response or solution. Please give me a solution as this is getting really frustrating and it seems I am permanently locked out of Lamannia unless someone bothers to fine a solution here.

Hi Kookie, my pc is never switched off and gets all DDO updates as they are released, the main issue stemmed from a folder that on my machine was named "en" when the launcher was looking for a folder named "en-GB" I copied the original folder and then renamed the copy to "en-GB" at that point it launched properly, as another question though why remove the "always log into this server" option?

I Just did that, It changed the Launcher into German and started re-downloading the "en" Directory, Fun times!

Creating a copy of "en" as "en-GB" does seem to fix the problem though

It Seems on the Lamannia you are unable to True Reincarnate or Lesser Reincarnate because lvl 26 i available but you are unable to take it . I have Run into many people me myself on my toon Scorpionsold and also my friend Henttarl all of his toons.

You won't be able to until the beta for the expansion comes out..


This is a known issue that will probably be on Lamannia until we start previewing the Level Cap increase.
