I could give up to be a VIP user and lots feature, so I took all things, shared bank, challenges and most packs of quest, Races and Classes, and so on. It's enough for me even if I didn't get that VIP exclusive feature.(and giving 500 TP per month)

later some months, developers gave a new benefit to VIP users, 10% exp bonus - same to endless 10% exp pot... Well, until the time, I was not angered, just gotten envy of VIP users.

But for now, FREE GOLD DICE for VIP users? are you kidding? are you gonna making all premium users mad who has their reasons to give up becoming VIP? I purchased about over 200 dollars, and It could make me a great VIP user to play the game well, but I passed it by my thought. but It's something getting me.. eh.. well... hah.

If live, VIP would take 48(12*4 weeks) Astral Shards per month, and that can be calcuated to 360 TP(7.5 TP per one AS. the ratio is from DDO store). It's not that suck.

I think Turbine must be realizing how unimportant VIPs have felt the past couple years and giving them some perks like the gold roll is very much needed. the bigger issue they still need to work on is the part about access to packs, races and classes. perks are nice, but lets focus more on the meat of the sub.

I didn't say I don't agree developers' plan to put more features on VIP, but at least I'd like to see something as I gave up becoming VIP when starting DDO first.

You'd know VIP is much efficient for new players on DDO. It's much powerful at starting game newly, and cheaper than lots TP to get all things. but lots TP is high cost, so difficult to purchase, and it makes ppl to play the game difficult.

Of course, I agree "lots TP" is more efficient than VIP if time goes. but what I'd like to say is always that.

boohoo. stop whining about something so stupid. its 12 shards free a week. OMG of all things to complain about its this. Im premium and i spend a lot of money on the game. i dont care what they get. i paid for everything so far all the upgrades. you dont see me complaining like a kid because they get 10% xp bonus open on elite or a free roll or access to most things. who cares. that is the point of vip. its constant income at least. premium has unknown chance you will pay again.

I don't see anything unfair about it, in fact I don't see how fairness even comes to play. This is Turbines way to add incentive to Subscribe it is as much a Marketing thing as it is a PR thing to help hold onto VIPs.

I don't think my $10 per month is a bad investment, and I don't mind paying for the expansion. Turbine has given me a game that I routinely spend 15-20 hours per week in. I feel I'm getting my money's worth. I used to pay over $100 oer month for Cable TV. (most Americans do this), and most normally grumble, but are never as visciious in their whining as people are about this game that costs a mere fraction.

I've dumped cable TV, and don't miss it. I would miss DDO if that was gone. So...I gladly pay my monthly sub fee to upport this game that gives me so much enjoyment.

that $65 quarterly, are you buying everything that a VIP gets for $10 monthly? if so, sounds like you may want to switch to VIP as it would be economically better.

they give perks to people who are more guaranteed spenders, as a premium player could just spend one time and be done, whereas vip constantly pay, and as long as they want to play like they currently do must pay the whole time.

one Gold dice per week in my opinion is really not big a deal. I never went VIP coz i never had reason to because I also bought most everything. I see VIP as a nice choice for new players.

The only time i imagine i would VIP is if i am leveling a new account. I think VIP is not for everyone and OP you made the right choice in switching to premium which i think is better in the long run.

I think VIP should have benefits for more long time players though and should have more of these perks.

I have been VIP ever since I started playing the game nearly a year ago (more or less), I think had maybe a week or two at most when I wasn't VIP and have been VIP ever since and I sincerely think the cost is nothing compared to other things these days. I buy the 3 month option which equals about £21 GBP which to me is a frickin' bargain for a game I play everyday and get a lot of enjoyment out of. Yes it's bugged to hell but development costs time and money so I like think I am doing my bit when I renew my sub every 3 months.

You can't win plat on the gold dice. The lowest prizes are essences and collectables.

Actually a very good idea. An excellent compromise. Turbine loves VIP and gives them perks because it is smart business. Having a stable and steady income stream is more manageable and lends to more efficient planning etc..

The idea above would actually further the enticement for regular, more frequent, spending. Spend 10 or $15 this month get a free gold roll. Makes sense.

spending X amount of money just to get little VIP perks I really could care less about would be enough for me to be so jaded I wouldn't bother logging in again. I would gladly give up that extra 1k VIP xp, that waste of a time increased public speed, once a week gold roll and even elite unlock to get at least a VIP discount on expansions. these meaningless little VIP perks aren't even worth signing up for the sub. the biggest draw to signing up for VIP is the access to all, but apparently not all, content, most classes, shared bank, 500 TP that's equivalent now to when a nickel would buy you a Bazooka gum and 10 character slots. that's where VIPs should be getting perks. not a free toaster for opening a bank account. thanks, but meh. all these "perks" I have no problem if premiums had them as long as VIP perks actually meant something. like a free spa day at a fancy shmancy resort.

I already won two armor kits, a good bunch of XP boosts (of all kinds), a ton of jewel of fortunes of varied sizes, and a pair of skill tomes. And of course, a ton of useless collectables and essences, but sometimes it awards you with shroud mats and someone on my guild won a yellow dopant.

I've been using my free daily silver to discount a gold roll since I noticed I never wasted my AS in anything else.

As a Premium user who has spend hundreds of dollars unlocking content, I have to say.... Gold Rolls for VIPs seems like a great idea. A small gesture to give back to the people who make regular payments to keep DDO profitable. Little perks like this and the XP boost might have kept me as a subscriber, rather than going over to Premium when it became clear that was the better model for a long term player.

I would call MOTU a expansion maybe barely but this new one not a chance. and while I did buy it I am not very happy about it.
