I lagged out right at the very end of Lords Of Dust and couldn't back in for a half hour!
My guildies finished without me!

I just KNOW this is your fault somehow! The fact that it was storming here and my internet signal was all caddywhompus is a COINCIDENCE!!!!

Also; my milk curdled in my coffee this morning. I blame that one on Cordovan.

you forget that
"Kobold still hate you"
and that tolero is secretly Storm from the x-men and controlled the storms that gave the op problems.

Closing Baudry's fixed lag.

Just to be clear: We've never said that any of those changes were meant to be a complete fix for lag. In the same way that replacing one brick in a wall doesn't repair an entire wall, fixing one of numerous causes of what you describe as "lag" is not the same as completely fixing lag.

You didn't address the fact that his milk curdled in his coffee.

How did you pull that one off? Some sort of lag induced mind meld with the coffee cup? :)

Don't forget...
Wrecking TWF fixed lag

Really, tho, they do have the best plan to fight lag. Create enough bugs and don't fix them and you will reduce the population. Then with the lower population, implement things like bravery bonus to discourage grouping. Make sure, of course, to spread the population over too many servers.

Lower population + fewer players + spread over too many servers = less lag.

I don't know if you've noticed, but it now only takes 30 minutes to walk across house P .. we are on our way!

Well, if Tolero is Storm from the X-Men...then who in Tarhooties is Cordovan?

Magneto.

Every time he walks past the office he wipes the last two day's worth of bug fixing done by the development team.

Yup. Mostly.

Still find myself in creeks from time to time chasing tadpoles.

Lag is always a problem for me but since most of it is in the fleshware it can't be fixed with a software patch.

What should help more than lag reduction is a simple macro where the character can be set to drink health potions or use a healing wand as necessary without user intervention.

Dungeon Alert fixed lag.
Closing Baudry's fixed lag.

It has everything to do with AI and physics. Closing Baudry's quest is removing one of the consequences.
I have seen many times melee mobs cycling around their targets, most of the times - a summon - and trying to hit it.
Turbine didn't fix anything. They are blind over there in system engineering.

I dont question that.

What I do question is the numerous encounters that have been designed into the game since then which spawn enough mobs in a single encounter to trigger DA - which then incorporates the DA penalty right into the encounter.

TCP/IP is supposed to be guaranteed message delivery.

Now it seems to me that somone in the OP - and I'm not going to say who (the name startes with a "T" and ends with an "urbine") - wasn't keeping up their part of the agreement.

Not gonna say who (rhymes with "clear brine"), but they weren't delivering what they were supposed to.

Again, not laying blime here...on anyone...especially Turbine...

Ok so you are in this party of 6 and one player has a very low internet speed and another player has an extremely fast internet speed,
now as you are all together fighting at the same time can someone explain HOW the game server is supposed to handle this?
