I must download C++ redistributable package?

I tried to download and received the error from Turbine download.

Is this what I download? It is dated April 2010

The Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package installs runtime components of Visual C++ Libraries required to run applications developed with Visual C++ on a computer that does not have Visual C++ 2010 installed.

Two completely different machines and both need to download.

I downloaded on one machine and it is a complete fail still. Looks like I won't waste my time on the other machine yet.

The one machine I personally downloaded the Microsoft C++2010 distributable package on will NOT update (because the launcher told me to.)

The other machine that I did nothing to is updating.

Turbine is still within the original maintenance update window time frame.

ok, launcher works now.. i had that messege 'download microsoft visual C++' thingy. i downloaded it, and launcher works

Just about every update from Turbine is a guaranteed fiasco. I am now watching the update move oh so slowly.

Turbine added 30 minutes to the maintenance window time frame.

They moved it to + 1/2 an hour already lol

I still have this issue and almost 1230 Eastern. Anyone have a work around or fix?

Get Microsoft's Visual Studio Express 2010 or 2012. The Express version is free, the registration is free and should put an end to this mess that Turbine created by not warning people of the C++ update. I have MVS 2010 installed and don't have issues.
