Anyone else notice that chain knockdown is more common these days? Just running some content with running against druids and I've noticed that if I fall down even once from earthquake, I'm usually dead before I get to take an action again.

So, I ask for solutions:
1. Does the air savant immunity to knockdown work against the chain tripping wolves/earthquake spamming druids?
2. What level of balance is required to reduce the length of knockdown from earthquake so that one has a chance to perform an action between pulses?
3. Do the various items that give immunity to slippery surfaces work against earthquake?

Last I checked there was no way for a player to paralyze, trip, knockdown, hold, etc. a boss level mob, so what is the effective strategy against boss druids?

AFAIK you cant be KDed when you're already KDed, and you get one instant action when your KD expires, while you're in your 'stand up' animation. So you should be able to spam your buttons and get in at least one attack/action, one chance to do something to negate the next trip.

But yes, barring that, get a +15 Balance item to swap in somewhere for those particular fights, when KD spam is your biggest concern. I dont know if there's a way to achieve true immunity, but boosting your DC is at least halfway there.

Besides getting the best balance item possible here are a few other suggestions to help prevent constant Knock Downs/Trips/etc

1. Fearsome Guard <- This will usually limit the attacker to one hit with a pause in-between - usually enough to get up and get back on your feet.

2. Learn to recognize the Trip animation and how to shield block - Remember they have to hit in order to trip

3. Blur/Displacement and Ethereal - Again can't be tripped if they cannot hit you

If you have Unyielding Sentinel capped then Stand Against the Tide (stance) + Steadfast prevents all knockdowns (or so it says, I haven't tested it). The Air Savant ability should also prevent trips and earthquake, I'm not sure what all isn't prevented by it.
