Hey guys never played a Barb before so looking at doing 3 lives for my TR toon, this will be his/her 3rd life (36pt build), has +3 tomes on all stats except for DEX which is +4 so anybody got a good build which has good survival? I am VIP so have everything (Artificer too since I bought it).

Heard good things about 12 Barb 7 Druid 1 Rogue...

Could you elaborate on that build please?

I did my first barb life pure. Hated it, especially at higher levels. It takes wagon loads of pots to heal 500-600hp.
Next life I splashed bard, just for fun. It actually worked very well. The last life, I did 12 bard (for pre) 2 fighter, (for feats) and the rest bard. I lr'ed with a +4 to get the barb lives back. It's the only time I've done this, and it was so totally worth it. You could also go 2 rogue instead of fighter if you can pare down the feats. All level ups in str, feats are pretty much all melee. I didn't bother with extend, empower healing, etc since the durations of most of the buffs were ok at higher level, and easily replenished, and I started using heal scrolls around level 14 or so, and they would do 400hp with the wand and scroll enhancement line.
But just imagine a barb with self healing, UMD, CC, blur/displace, hage, as well as buffing party with songs and spells. It's a little clicky intensive, but it was a lot of fun.
YMMV, etc.

That is the sort of thing I am looking for exactly! I don't mind clicky intensive (I play a monk too :D) I actually enjoy it since it means lots to do all the time ;), I was thinking along the lines of 12 Barb, 6 Bard 2 Fighter (for feats) or 2 Rogue (for traps etc). Skill points would be limited though due to INT needs for Rogue for traps plus everything else. Not looking for end game just something to get me through Barb lives without being a mana sponge and costing a fortune on pots or hires.

I did a 9 barb 9 druid 2 rogue. The idea was gather up a bunch of mobs, hit cleave and great cleave, killing one mob will trigger reaving roar and that will kill the rest. its rediculously overpowered up til gianthold, then its just over powered. by vale its quite strong but not over powered, and after that its doesnt really work anymore since roar does about 300 damage and mobs have 3k hp, so try to cap in vale.
you also get traps skills evasion a few buffs, csw and greater vigor. stay out of animal form so you can scroll heal and do traps, and dont bother raging since roar will do most of the work.

How would that work though since there are 9 levels of Barb and Druid so what past life feat would be granted or would it require an LR?

Barb was released first, so it's a barb PL. (well, alphabetical, then the classes added later are just chronological. 'Sif Turbine would make it logical :)

So in other words you took Barb at level 1 is that right? What would be a good leveling order for that build?

This is a General build that my guild uses for BARB past lives...
It works really really well... even without silver flame pots. So far everyone *cough* that wants to have a past life has got it no Problems!
Of course... it HAS to be halfling... but it doesnt matter if you use blunt weapons or axes etc.
And of course... whilst getting the past life.... the TR happens soon after hitting 20!

Well TR'd earlier and I am really looking at 12 Barb, 6 Bard and 2 Rogue, currently level 2 which are both Rogue levels to maximize skill points, next level probably Barb and the one after Bard. Beyond that no idea on leveling ideas, any help would be great.
@ AlmGhandi - Thanks for the build idea!

Quick update on this, I am currently level 5 and withholding level 6 just to finish off some low level quests, will probably take Barb this level so that will give me a class split of Barb 2 / Bard 2 / Rogue 2. Probably not the most efficient way of doing things but a whole heck of a lot of fun to play so far. Skill points are pretty tight to say the least but once I get Jump to rank 10 I will ignore that so that will help, always upping UMD at every level for later on though.

Im doing 6/6/6 barb, fight, rogue, can do all the traps, have put 15 in int and also have +3 tome, first lvl I do barb for fast movement, then 2 rogue, then 6 fight, 4 rogue, rest barb.
Its very good build, does more dmg than 3 paladin lifes I did.

You could also just go pure, get the gear, and hit harder than what people say they do. Get SF pots and some heal amp and as long as you have 11 or higher in all stats you can sit there and heal your huge amount of hp.

You can't drink pots while Raging which is the problem, hell you can't do anything while Raging other than "hulk smash" type thing.
Anyway I have no gotten to level 20+ with this life and ended up going with 11 Barb, 7 Bard and 2 Rogue. Rarely used Rage and just used Blur and Displacement a fair amount and it made a massive difference to keeping me alive, it took a while to beat stuff down but I could stay alive a heck of a lot longer.
