Hey guys, could use a quick check to see where the shards are dropping in here. Not really concerned about Seals or Scrolls, just confused about the Shards.
Can anyone recently pulling a Shard out of this chain please chime in with:

I pulled a couple of Shards and Seals from the LoD chain a few weeks ago.

You are aware that they only drop on Epic Normal, and not on Epic Hard or Epic Elite, aren't you?

I never get any shards/seals on EH or EE - and I farmed it a lot. Others have told me seals don't drop period, but I am not positive about shards - I think they will only drop in the end chest if they drop. That's the only place I've seen them in that quest.

Once I learned this unpleasant truth I do get shards/seals on EN at the usual bad EN drop rate. This has been a known bug for quite some time, but the devs haven't even added it to the know bug list like so many known bugs.

in the last week or 2 i've had a couple of shards and seals drop (none that i need unfortunately). most chests in all 3 quests on epic Normal will drop seals, the end chests of all 3 and the locked chest in the start of Servants of the Overlords will drop shards. the DC on the lock is something like 60-80 (cant remember off the top of my head, check the wiki) but it takes less than 2 minutes per run to farm that first chest.

they are dropping, but the rates are pretty low coz they're so easy to farm

EDIT: shards/seals dont drop on EH or EE in the first 2 quests, and have an extremely low chance on the 3rd quests end chests. this is a known issue

The two first quests on epic normal, drop rate is not that high.

I have pulled shards in all 3 LOD quest on EN. I will farm the first chest in the second quest for shards that I need. Just need someone to unlock the chest.

Seals I have only ever pulled from Spinner of Shadows on EN.

I haven't farmed it in a while however the way I remember the scroll drops were pretty standard; dropping all difficulties with an apparently better rate on EE. Seals only dropping on EN, chance from any chest. Only Shards I remember seeing were from the Epic Chest of Spinners and frankly don't remember what the difficulty, glad to hear there are more chances for those.

Short version
Seals:
LoD, maridith, altars etc. Unsure about bastion. EN only.
SotO, fire reaver etc, not worth running. EN only.

Shards:
LoD end chest, any epic diff.
SotO drow ritual and end chest, any epic diff.

Spinner, not worth the hassle.

In general run lod on en for seals and shards. Run SotO EH if you only need a shard, it's about 10-11 mins in a good group and lots of tokens.

Personally i skip the first chest in soto, the drop rate is too low, not worth the time.
