I need to send out some appologies to all 11 players I teamed with the other night running HOX...you see i never made it to the quest! I couldn't do a single thing right inroute to the entrance...you know navagating throught sub-t....to sum it up I was gimp'd!!!

First off the whole party ran ahead leaving me and another cleric to navagate our way (this is not at anyones fault...we where late to the party so the leader decided to short man it in hopes more would join before entering the quest)

Second, I thought I new the way but it had been some time since I was in sub-t. And when the other player running with me took a different way I followed him/her....big mistake!!! After a few minutes of unexpected agro I dropped sent a tell wondering if he/she knew the way...to my dismay the reply was "I'M LOST". At this point the group leader was real cool and simply said "recall" and someone will guide us from the beginning...GREAT...HOME FREE...

Thrid, We both recall and run with our friendly guide enroute to meet-up with the rest of the party and just as we reach the very last door (right at the ice renders) my dumb-ARSSS falls off the ledge to a waiting beholder and I die!!! Lucky for me I died right next to a shrine but im starting to feel like a idiot...that im holding everyone up!! So I say "im recalling...I know the way!!!

Fourth, Because the stupid chat box does't work like it should im forced to hit "shift +enter" before I can say anything....I leared the hard way if you accidently hit "shift & enter & (\|) it closes your client all together causing a disconnect...WELL...that what I did :( I felt like a complete MORON!

After this the group leader probably couldn't take my incompetence any longer and dropped me from group because when I logged back in I was all by my lone-some standing out side the entrance to SUB-T feeling like an alienated step child!! I hung my head down low, marched on...even took some damage from the Gianthold dragon-shifter near the bank!!!!

Seriously has anyone ever been so clumbsy while playing? I hate to think im the only one!!

So my humble appologies....Tum

Ha! Everyone has an off day now and then. You seem to have a good attitude about it, so good on ya.

Last time I had that hangdog feeling was when I accidentally watered a puzzle that wasn't complete in Shroud. Such an uber-noob move; I felt terrible and couldn't shake it for hours.

EDIT: Note that it wasn't an actual noob mistake on my part. This was like my 80th shroud. I was waiting outside a puzzle room with water, the barrier came down, so I went and watered the fountain. Turns out that the people inside had given up on the puzzle and unlocked/opened the door.

Now I always make a visual confirmation that the puzzle is done.

I did that once. :(

I think it is normal to have an off day from time to time. Hell, I can very well remember my biggest shroud fumble - breaking crystals where we were supposed not to do... Would have been my 20thiest run or something like that. Lessions learned the hard way, I always say and let´s move on. Next run you will be back to normal and you will enjoy your HOX.

Don't worry, I was in that run and someone messed worse than you - he entered HoX on... normal :D

Indeed. I have led literally hundreds of shrouds on Orien. On one occassion, quite recently, I targeted the crystals on the north side of the map instead of the south side to "open the fountain". It took two polar rays and less than a second to lock out the underwater chests :-) Stuff happens.
