Is there anyone else that can't log in with an acct name longer than 16 characters?

Well if so you obviously can't respond.

I emailed the support team regarding my inability to login with my real account. The response was that perhaps my password was longer than 16 characters or perhaps I forgot to pick my country. Neither of those were the case, but my account name is over 16 characters. If you are unable to use your account on the new forums and your account is longer than 16 characters, please note that when you contact the support team.

I am not saying that is the problem, but if it is let's be sure to give them that info so they can at least check into it.

Turbine, I know you are trying your best. Sometimes your best isn't good enough but I suspect everything will work out ok eventually in this case. I appreciate your efforts.

Players with extremely long passwords may experience issues when logging into the site even though the game launcher accepts the password. While we are working to correct this issue, keeping the password length to 16 characters can help to mitigate the issue until our fix is deployed.
