Cant log on with high level toons

How many other people are having this problem?

It has gotten so bad that I have been forced to make a level 1 character call "loadster" just so I can log on, then after I am successfully logged on I have to log back to the character screen and load the toon I actually want to play.

Even then I can only successfully log onto that second toon about 70% of the time.

Been in contact with support with absolutely no luck, they have just stonewalled and finally tried to suggest it is my machine, so I have logged on with a friends 8 month old alienware gaming beast with the exact same result, every time.

A few month ago it took about three trys to log on, but this is so much worse.

Is anyone else having this issue now? In the past there were numerous posts about similar problems but those pages have been removed for some reason and you can only view them in cache.

So how about it? what are you logging in problems? how have you fixed em, or tech fixed em, or what work-a-rounds have you had to come up with?

What are the symptoms that prevent you from logging in. when you try to do so?

I have characters that are 16-20, if you mean levels 21-25 then I add little value.

I have had zero issues when logging in. I just logged in directly to a level 16, grabbed a ribbon, and then decided I did not want that server. I logged right back out because I want to get the FREE Medium Slayer Boost Count on a different server.

This is how it works, or should I say doesn't work:

I launch, no problem

character screen, no problem

pick newish toon
(levs 1-7) 4 mins load 90-95% success

OR: Pick established toon
(1st lifers & TR's lev spread 16-25) 10mins load 0-10% success (no joke)

Or: load newish, then back out and
load established toon limited chance of success


When it fails, it usually runs very long and then DC's me or it brings the toon up on screen but with broken red chat server warning at top center of the screen and then DC's me.

My guildies can see me coming online, and failing

All in All quite frustrating and not much help if any from tech support.
