The new fourms totally suck.

The one thing I liked about the old forums was the ease of navigation. Now, it just totally sucks because it takes more time to navigate and the art is unappealing. Not to mention the bugs are REALLY irritating, especially the bug where the dev tracker doesn't work. Seriously, I want to know who is more irritated with bugs in and out of this game: Players or Developers. I wager you 10 credits that the players are far more frustrated than the developers.

But seriously, I hate to use this quote when describing the new forums, but here it goes: "This new thing - it is bad."

I actually like the artwork. I do not like all the white text, makes the forum topics hard to read.

OK so I've been on the new forums 5 minutes and I already have a litany of complaints...

-I couldnt keep my old name, I had to put an underscore in it. Not sure if its because the new forums dont support the old name, or because it thinks the old name is taken - because I have it - but regardless, seems like I'm going to have to type the underscore out every time I log in now...

-Why do the forums look like they're designed in Dolurrh? Are they meant to make us all slowly waste away, the more time we spend on them, until we're too hopeless to care that the new expansion sucks and isnt worth any money?

Seriously, who puts gray-on-gray over an intensely colored background? Do you have no idea what "negative space" means? And whats with the funky serif fonts? It looks like a SWTOR forum.

Trying too hard, Turbine...trying way too hard. Forums should be simple, quick, and utilitarian. No one comes to look at them, they come to read them.

With the present state of these forums, I will heartily agree that they are indeed quite sucky.

Sadly I am unsure what was wrong with the old forums, they were easily navigable, they didn't have unneccessary artwork that distracts me from doing what I'm on the forums to do, which of course is to read posts, occasionally post, gather information and follow Troll threads.

It's like they had a meeting in the lunchroom at DDO HQ and whilst eating some homemade cookies that the janitor dropped in cause it was his birthday and some left over cheese and onion sandwiches from the 'High Five Shout' the day before, all the bright sparks decided they needed to break the existing ease of use forums and make these ones cause um they have cool artwork.
Of course the janitor being a practical guy piped up in the backgorund, "Hey guys if they ain't broke don't fix em..." but of course all the smart minds just blew him off as not knowing what he was talking about and told him to, "wash out our cups would yah, before you go back to mopping the floors."

These forums need some serious fixing, sadly on my computer I use most of the time which I was always logged into the forums I can't even access them. (always flicks me back to the old ones even after fully deleting cookies and cache)

I really hope that there wasn't too much time, money and resources spent creating these new forums as I would have much rather it was spent improving our in game experince......

Ugh... had to choose a different name, because it kept saying my original Forum name was not allowed...

I seriously don't understand how Musouka is not allowed.

- the serif font for thread titles is much harder to read
- dev tracker missing?
- had to re-verify my email address and country in my account profile to login
- extra clicks to get to 'new posts'. Seriously .. that comprises 99% of my entries to the forums - new posts
- broken links to topics
- had to install some tampermonkey script to make the forums wide enough to be readable
- profile -> my posts now is a whitewash - white text on white background
- submit post button is waaaay down there and hard to see

What a rollout! Bravo! All I am thinking is .. is it summer student time already?

I would love to know why there was a forum change. the forums we had were functional. maybe not pretty, but I could move around with ease.

also, why did they make it so thin ? was it for smartphones or something ?

Any reason why there's hardly anything on the new posts page? It used to live at a couple of dozen, and now it's 2. What gives?
