Does anyone own this bow?

Can you tell me how the acid damage works? From the Wiki it appears that it is 10-50 damage 2s after the arrow hits. The wording is confusing, seeming to imply that added arrows stack more time. But, does that mean that arrow 1 does 10-50, then 10-50 again while arrow 2 does 10-50 itself (making 2 arrows proc damage 3 times total)?

Or, does it mean that, effectively, each hit gets the 10-50 damage?

I have the epic hard version. What it does is after 2 seconds it starts to apply acid damage. Every time you hit an enemy, it adds another 2 seconds to the duration of the effect. So, if you hit an enemy 5 times, you will get 10 seconds of time on the acid effect (and 5 ticks of damage). Think of it as a damage over time spell that gets time added to it when you hit the enemy.

You do not do acid damage every hit. I think the mechanic is cool, but have yet to find a situation where it is better than the common damage effects.

Tortured Livewood Bow 101:

Equip the bow that cost you all of 300K on the AH for the Epic Elite version!
Turn on Manyshot!
Apply about two minutes worth of the damage-over-time effect.
Re-equip Pinion; because short of the DoT effect it's a pretty poor bow for DPS purposes.

What's questionable is whether you gain enough damage from two-minutes worth of the DoT compared to make up for the lost raw DPS you'd gain from using Pinion during Manyshot.

No way. After manyshot my AA does only singing, she has a bard icon next to her name, so it's a license to pike.:)
