Hey has anyone else had any trouble getting the arena fight to start?

In my very limited experience with that quest, I found that the drow that spawn in the arena are pretty good at hiding and pretty terrible at aggroing, so doing a few laps (or a space filling curve) will wake the unseen stragglers up and move it along.

Running laps intimming helps, it's been buggy since release, my guess is it won't be fixed to be honest.

normally i go into the top of the arena then the guy talks, floor drops out and you start the fight in this case it just puts me straight into the arena, dialog goes off, nothing happens. this is after u17

Tonight i found a weird thing about belly in epic hard, which prevented me Rhitez to fight for me.

At the start i tried multiple times and on multiple npc-s, all produced the same result:
- they disappeared halfway through the fight, and disappeared all other npc too (mf, drider, slaver, drow priestess and their minions).
- when entered in the arena (door wasnt open anymore, just needed to click on the grates), the whole area was empty

Will try intimidate too, and chopping but i think it's not really the proper way to get it done...(not worked there)

Edit: all well in epic norm, bug happened in eh and ee.
Edit2: when i hurt slaves or other unnamed npc, the optional totally bugs, i think the bug not dependant by quest difficulty

There were a few times after release where if I entered the 'arena' area via the lower area I either got put in the arena directly or I managed to fall into the arena area, and the fight would not start properly. You need to talk to the 'person in charge' (don't know her name) and have her activate the movable floor to drop you in or the entire fight basically bugs out. I haven't had it happen lately, but I don't think I've actually done the quest post-u17 either.
