Astral shards question - Not eager to find out by mistake

Would my banked TPs get auto-converted to astral shards if I accidentally do a daily dice thing or some other thing that spends the new-fangled astral shard doohickey / thingamabobs?

I haven't purchased any astral shard doohickeys / thingamabobs, and so I don't believe I have any right now.

Hopefully I used all the right technical terms, and thanks in advance for clearing up how I can ensure that my TPs don't turn astral on me, by mistake.

If you havent got any astral shards, you cant pay for the extra rolls. Thus nothing would happen. IF they made a autobuy system like that people would get VERY upset.
