For those casters that can change spells at a tavern or shrine, rather than merely retaining the current interface, where you can reselect spells one by one, why not create customizable *complete spell sets* that they can select when at a shrine or tavern.

Then maybe we could move on to customizable full sets of clickie bars (to go along with the spell sets).

(A related idea whould be to create complete equipment sets that you can create in the equipment pannel and select. I'm sure that this has already been suggested though. )

I actually had a similar idea the other day when I was prepping a caster for the Orchard. I doubt we'll see it happen though. I"m real curious to know what they would break when trying to implement it.

I don't think it'd be worth the effort; there just aren't enough different combinations out there to make it a real time-saver.

Maybe not for you.

Maybe not for you.

I had initially posted a very extensive analysis demonstrating with numbers exactly why its not worth anyone's time, but I deleted it because I realized it also wasn't worth anyone's time to read my mathmatical proof.

I can see now that I should have left it be.

My conclusion was that you are really only trading out a handful of spells anyway, and the system itself would be so complicated that only a handful of people would ever bother with it. More likely, you'll waste more time tinkering with your "sets" than you'd ever actually save.

Count me in on the "handful" then, cos this would be awesome for switching back and forth between solo, group and raid loadouts on my cleric or wiz.

Totally /signed.

in fact, +1 for a decent suggestion that I haven't heard before.

The simpliest would be to add commands /unload_spell <classname> <spellname> and /load_spell <classname> <spellname>.

Then everyone could create aliases and voila.
