A kobold. Now now, hear me out, while I suggest this one jokingly, I'm also serious about it.

Race: Kobold. (yes, you did read that right the first time.)
Give it all stats of a normal hireling.
Make it vocal. Yes, I want it to say things out of Crystal Cove that would be appropriate.
Give it more lines that are vocalized. In particular, the lines from "Protect Baudry's Interests" aka, protect the box.
This hireling only breaks boxes, jars, and other collectables.
This hireling does not attack. Being told to defend something would mean it stands around that being.
Give this hireling 1,000 HP. (it doesn't attack remember)
Have this hireling have a huge agro gathering magnet, perhaps even a very high intimidation? (Now you understand the hit points. Also, "No one messes with the Union" threats. Hence the idea of intimidation.)
Give this hireling evasion to increase survival odds.
Do allow this hireling to "use" objects such as levers. It wants to break boxes.

What would this hireling do?
Give rogues a hireling that would nearly always have agro.
Something beyond a an artificer dog that could go dead to break boxes.
Continue to amuse people with kobold antics and sayings.

Expanding the thought...
A ML 10 paragon kobold version.
Still a silver, aka plat based, hireling for hire.
Has improved evasion.
Has 10,000 hp.

edit: Baring that, making it a gold seal at maybe something like the cost of 10-25 TP, or possibly even a future perma gold seal gimmick to sell.

I'm sorry, but /not signed. I don't get the fascination with kobolds some of you have.

There was, dont' know if there still is, a halfing arcane that made it a point to shoot every box with his cross bow. Many consider halfings to be pets also. ;)

Cuz they're crunchy and good with catsup... no, no, that's us. Umm... Cuz they make good sammiches! Yeah, that's it. I don't mean in the version that gets us guys in trouble where the kobold runs to the kitchen to make us sammiches - I mean, makes good sammiches. Literally. :)

Sadly, Kobold sammiches never made it into the

I would like a variety of Kobold Hirelings.

One that scales with you would be super.

Gold seal hires available with starter or limited releases would sell like hot cakes.

Put one or two adventure packs, a permanent gold seal hireling, some turbine points and a few xp pots in a bundle and rotate them every month. You could have a flavor of the month that is only available one month or season of the year.

A nice pairing might be a Goblin Hireling, Tangle Root Quest Pack, 400 Turbine Points, 5 50% xp pots and a Glass Spider Cosmetic Pet.

Make each pack available only one month a year and you have a new store section that will sell based on the permanent gold seal hireling not being available any place else.
