Unofficially, but it's a lot like that final scene in Batman Begins where Batman says "I'm not going to kill but I don't have to save you." Instead of nerfing casters outright they are letting caster debilitating bugs through. One such bug is the Implosion Bug which makes implosion only work some of the time, rest of the time you cast it and nothing happens. Same goes for Wail of the Banshee you can cast it all you want but there's a good chance nothing will happen when you do. Or what about Energy Burst which is also reporting similar problems.
And its not like the devs can't solve these bugs, they solved the fireshield bug, they solved the holy aura bug, they even created a whole new list of spells for two new spell casting classes (Artis and Druids). But now after all this they haven't solved a bug that seems to be effecting the signature spells for our old casters, I personally see it as a little too convenient way to nerf casters and the people who have proven time and again that they are fully capable of fixing things like this have yet to even acknowledge that there is a problem.

But have yet to do anything about it and there have been posts in dev tracker since then...Do I see it getting fixed anytime soon..doubt it. Sighs....

Notice its fine on his U18 build...so guess we wont be seeing it fixed in patch 2 (since the rest of us are on u17 build) or do we wait for u18? Confused lol.

The worry is that he's only talking about wail and not implosion and consume which has the targeting issue and also probably a DC issue. He is definetly NOT talking about stuff like giants immune to negative energy and explorer skeletons immune to web and trap the soul not being able to work beyond CR 30 and dozens of other smaller problems.
