I think this was a blatant attempt at pulling Memnir over to their side and to create a mole in our kvetching community. By playing to his ego, they will slowly turn Memnir into one of the fanbois, hoping for it to spread.

While I do like the idea of Shardy I have already bought the Invisible Stalker as my new pet. It's great, I can't see or hear anything, its perfect! Excellent coding Turbine!

In fact the whole list of new store items is great. I already bought just about every item in the store. I would have bought all of them but after I bought the hireling my AS bag disappeared and he just laughed and walked away.

Just for the record, I think it's amazing that Turbine thought enough of one of my jokes to include it in this year's April Fools' Day advert.
I'm honored and humbled that they considered Shardy funny, and glad that they didn't take the joke the wrong way.
