Ok this is the biggest scam you've pulled yet. Unless I completely misunderstand this is what is going on.
For the sake of easy math let's agree to pretend the following is correct: $=US Dollars, TP=Turbine Points, AS=Astral Shards, and 100TP=$1.00. (By this math with the deal 1AS~$0.06)
Player A loots awesome BTCoE item and decides to auction it on the Shard exchange. He buys the 500AS deal for 2795TP for $27.95. He lists the item for 1000AS at a cost of 5AS leaving him with 495AS.
Player B wants said item so he buys the 500AS deal twice for 5590TP or $55.90. He spends his 1000AS gets the item for $55.90.
The Exchange takes a 40% cut of the AS and Player A receives 600AS. So for his expenditure of $27.95 and his uber loot he got 1095AS worth about $65.70.
All in told Players A&B spent $83.85 and only $65.70 stayed with them in game. Essentially Turbine you have sold the 1500AS for $102 when you factor in the $18.15 in shards taken by the house.
Not only is this pay to win, but with the already EXPLODINGLY ASTRONOMICAL asking amounts for items it is ridiculous. /rant off
My thoughts:
1. There should be NO CUT for the house. You got your cut when the two players bought their shards. This is a blatant double charge.
2. If AS are going to be the currency then there needs to be a way to loot/trade for them in game more readily. VIPS pay for playing already as do premium players to a different extent. (some more, some less)
Thoughts?
