Turbine continues to make things less easy to use. It just does not make sense to me. I also want the options back on the focus orb, so that I can one click trades, tells, etc. Please?

I just want to be clear on this, so let me know if I'm incorrect.
MyDDO is missing from the menu bar. Does this mean that if we want to enter the lottery or check the compendium it has to be done from a regular internet browser window?
We can't trade with each other using the orb? How else can it be done? I've never done it any other way.

I wont miss MyDDO. Its been a black window and lottery button that gives a 500 internal server error for me almost 9 months now. I dont see any value in accessing it ingame anymore if they wont fix the functionality. I have to jump through hoops to post in the blog section, and then I have to log out of the forums to view the post like everyone else does.

I think it will suck for people that used the in-game browser for wiki and other things. I used to use it all the time till I got a second monitor.

1. yes, must now take ddo into window mode, open browser, go to myddo
2. we were able to in the past, the orb had a tell, trade, challenge button before, and the mail icon
Turbine decided we needed better access to the ASAH, so we can post from anywhere, like at the end chest.

The game will allow you to ALT-TAB out...IF you have another program open at the time to swap to. I just leave my browser open on its homepage before I fire up DDO.

Ctrl+D = MyDDO
Might not be on the menu anymore - but it's still accessible in-game.

Or you could put the old style menu bar back. It's in the options somewhere, I don't remember where.
I believe if you do this then you have both the menu bar and the start button.

I usually open a browser window first. As the DDO browser window is not resizable, it's always annoyed me.
Alt+Enter will putthe DDO client into windowed mode, BTW.

I run DDO in windowed mode, and I have the game stretched to cover my monitor except for the Win7 bar across the bottom. When I want, say, My firefox, I just have to click on its icon to switch. I found the screen stutter from ALT-TAB swapping to be to annoying.
It also allows me to see what time it is via my desktop clock, for those times when you squeeze in 30 min of inventory management before work. :D

Once again the point is that they changed something that people were used to without any notice, and added nothing to tell you how to access it in some other way. I guess they just assume ALL players spend the majority of their workday on the forums like we do ;)

This (for my personal preference).

I used it all the time as well and will now have to figure out something else. Once again, was it really something needed when so many things need to be fixed first?

It's super easy to alt-enter, open your browser bookmark to MyDDO and go from there.
Alt-Tab back to DDO then Alt-enter to get back to full-screen mode when you are done (usually 15 min for the lottery anyway, why have it open in-game??).
Time to learn some computer skillz people.

Haven't logged in yet today. Did they remove MyDDO from the menu in the lower left corner of the screen? If not then just drag the icon from the pop up menu to a hot bar. Done & done.
If it's been removed from the pop up menu all together then please ignore my ignorant disinformation...

Because not everyone uses or even knows about this method. I certainly didn't know about it. I just always used the menu.
Now that I know there's a workaround I'll use it, but the option still needs to be brought back.
