View Full Version : Paladin build ? Splash of Druid and Monk ?

I'm working my way through a triple completionist build and need some ideas for my paladin lives. I have a level 17 pure paladin that I really just did not enjoy. So, I'm looking to splash some things together and hopefully have a better experience. I'm really looking for something that has more reasonable self sufficiency. I loved the evasion and AC of my monk lives, and I've been hearing lots of good things about using wolf form from druid.

I was thinking that I could do a 2 druid / 6 monk / 12 paladin build. This would give me wolf form, ninja spy 1 with incorp form, and then enough paladin levels for the past life.

My biggest questions and concerns are:
weapons - do i use handwraps? I've heard the crit range is better with wolf form. Do I take IC: bludgeon?
Would I be better off using my scimitars or longswords from other lives? have GS of both for lvl 12+
wind stance - does it stack with wolf speed benefits?
ki - can I use my monk abilities (mainly the incorp form) in wolf form?

If anyone can give me any advice, I'd appreciate it. Still a couple weeks away form completing my 3rd ranger life, so I have time to consider options.

If you have a build other than what I'm considering, feel free to list that as well.

Thanks to everyone for their input!

Completionist past life builds are tricky because you only really get 18 levels to work with. Which two are you burying on 19 & 20; pally levels? That gives you 10/6/2 pally/monk/druid to play with. 10 pally is...not so hot.

iirc you can not splash Druid with Paladin due to alignment issues.

Always take at least 14 or 15 levels of Paladin due to Zeal...

I did 18/2 pally monk,2 lives,3rd life almost done,lvl 17.
I would at least do 12 pally, for hotd pre,no neg lvls,no point in doing this if you gonna make wf.
Was doing 2hf,since I have only those weapons and I dont really like 2wf.

I didn't think about alignment issues ... I have yet to play a druid at all and didn't know about the alignment restrictions. Thanks for that advice!

I've always done TWF and don't really know if I want to craft new weapons for just a few lifes and throw them away. If there's a good TWF paladin build, I'd love to hear it.
