Epic devil assault nerfed?

Hello, I just ran EH devil assault, and as always posted LFM statning that there are 5 chests, and asking for tokens.

4 puggers joins, boss is killed, chests are looted.

Before U17, this was giving 10 full tokens (assuming everyone passed theirs).
Now, after everyone passed me theirs tokens, I got 5 fulls, and 89 fragments.

Thats about 40% less than it used to be.

Anyone else noticed this? Is devil assault the only nerfed quest?

I've honestly had better success w/ Epic Normal.

Sounds like they changed how the tokens dropped. It used to be (approximate numbers) a 33% chance to get 2 full tokens on EN otherwise no tokens, 66% chance on EH for 2 tokens otherwise no tokens, and 100% chance to get 2 full tokens on EE. Sounds like they just changed it to give what would be the same amount overtime with less randomness.

EH drop rates are either bugged or just plain suck. EN is way, WAY better.

When I do EN, I invariably get 3 or 4 tokens (second account looting), at least 1 large shroud ingredient, at least 1 ToD boot ingredient, and a couple small or medium shroud ings.

On EH, I'm lucky to get 1 token, and there are no shroud ingredients at all.

I've never heard of that ever giving 10 tokens. But agree epic normal has some sick mat drops along with other things lol. Most I would get for epic norm was 2-4..4 is pushing it. Done it on epic hard (seems worse am assuming its the whole normal/hard bug but do not know..like dont drink the water with green scales) but seems to be the same token wise . But I prefer epic norm for above said reasons. I Get a ton of gs mats farming that.

Wow that is wierd cause I took my friend in to show her how much gs mats dropped. Maybe it changed havent done it in a few months..i hope not i am just getting back after a break but was landing more in one run of epic da norm than shroud lol. Looks like I am gonna have to do a solo run tomorrow and see what has changed :( Hoping nothing fingers crossed

Not exactly a nerf. On u16, that chest had a chance of dropping either 2 tokens or no tokens at all (http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=389852). Now it drops 1 full token and ~30 frags.

As long as the Mats are still dropping like they did I am happy lol.. guess I will find out tomorrow and post back after a run or two.

DA epic hard used to give 2 tokens.
and a selection of ings and other nice things in the side chests.


Now it gives one token and fragments. OR just fragments if you are unlucky or get a shard or other ing in the epic chest.

The side chests give nothing but **** and gems. extra ****. no ings that i've seen yet.


Go run something else. DA is a 25 minute quest with **** rewards now.

I solo Epic normal pretty much once every day and can't remember ever not getting at least one token and about half the time two. Sounds like Epic hard might be bugged.

Edit: I've also never seen fragments drop at all.

I think he finished the quest and is offering ppl free chest for a token..

I wouldn't mind give mine if i see one.. I normally get some trash vendor stuff but the feeling of helping some one is the good part of it..

A couple months ago I would always do this. Invite people when I was killing the end boss and just wait for them to zone in before killing him. I stocked up on tokens so I quit running it. I guess I was lucky to have done it before a nerf, but is is still shady and would not suprise me if it was a stelth nerf.

Looks like I'm going to have to start running this on EN from now on, it seems like I've been wasting my time on EH.

Token drop rates in DA have been kinda broken since U14. EH is usually 2 tokens but I've done runs where I've gotten no tokens at all or just a few fragments. If I recall right EE is 2,5 tokens and I recall getting skunked on that that difficulty too.

So afaik it's not nerfed, just bugged and has been for a long while.

And yes there's nothing unusual about soloing EDA and then asking people in to pull tokens, rest of the loot is for the pullers to keep.

On normal one of the side chests can drop a full token. Yes, it is better than hard for tokens.

I don't recall in the LFM specifically said to pass tokens, but it is a fairly common courtesy. When I log on and see nothing of interest, EDA is one of my default options, opening for people to get the chests.

Maybe this is more common on Ghallanda?

It's been this way for 9 months I think. Since u14. Nothing unusual - they want to drive you away from using tokens.

I just couldn't imagine joining a completed EDA to trade the only thing worth running it for vendor trash.
