It'd be great if there was some way you could look at the graphic of lootgen weapons and tell if they're socketed or not, without having to examine it. Just like a little "pip" placed up in the corner or something. Yes, kinda like sockets in D2 :)

Its frustrating, if you're looking for a socketed weapon, having to scroll through the popup description in the AH - or, when you're selling off/breaking down all your random loot, having to screen each one to see if its socketed, since those are (at least still) usually worth putting up on the AH instead.

Agreed! Even an asterisk at the end of the item name would be nice... Really tedious checking every item upon selling.

Anything to make them identifiable at a glance

Agreed. All you'd need is an overlay of coloured pips according to the number and
type of slot available.

I'd like to have a text indicator in the name, so one can search for them on auctions.
Something like [Y], [B], [R] and [C].

Guild slots were a much less extensive system. And it only applied to guilds - which not everyone in the game is in. And there was only one kind of slot, just different sizes - not four different flavors of slots and augments, with the possibility of having two in a single lootgen (can you get a Colorless and Colored in lootgen? Just a 5%*5% = .25% chance?).

Same for Epic augments - the new system is bigger than both put together.

It would have been useful for guild augments alone, but its even more useful (and thus worthwhile to implement) with the new expanded augment system.
