Forum rep= In game bonus

I lurk the forums a lot...

I think a reward for forum rep would be neat.

Draconic Favor= Draconic Toughness

That Weird Coin Lord one= Intim and something else...

Well.....

How about once you hit XXXXX forum rep>>>>

You get like a bonus to Haggle or Diplomacy maybe even and extra LFM (looking for ham) or LFB (looking for broccoli) type thingy? I suggest we should be able to type TtF (Trolling the Forums) and turn into a troll that is reading a computer monitor.

Or maybe you get LFM bonuses (like you can see what Forum handle is associated with a toon)

Heck I think Memnir should get Improved Feint or atleast Bluff skill buffs due to his pictures he posts.

Shade should get a DPS calculator (that will of course be incorrect) on his account.

Or maybe they can implement a special "Forumite bar" which will have doritos and mountain dew...

Which brings me to...why can't we get doritos and mountain dew in game at the tavern? It is common knowledge that you HAVE TO HAVE those two items to game properly.

Personally, I think it is an absolutely awful idea. Trolling the forum is a very popular past time, and a lot of people get neg repped because someone doesn't like them or doesn't like their perspectives.

Memner should be allowed to post images in general chat that broadcast across all servers, in all areas and houses.

Otherwise, no one else should be given privileges IMO.

Sure I did.

I posted right before the update.

So I knew the forumites would be on here instead of the game.

I think people will like the idea of "TtF" (Trolling the Forums) avatar in game (to replace or be in addition to LFB or LFH). I wanna turn into a Troll and read while I am on forums and in game.

And Memnir should be able to spam marketplace chat with pictures. It would help keep new players here.

I just can't see a guild using an exploit to somehow gain a small advantage in game...

If you were going to tie and in-game reward to forum posts (which seems really silly buy anyway), tie it to number of posts rather than rep. Rep is too easily manipulated by others or by yourself.

Mind you, if you tied it to number of posts, there would be a lot more worthless threads on the forums.

I think Turbine should incentivize people to play the game instead of spending most of their time in the Forums gaining reps through gimmicks like images and other simple appeals to get some kind of ingame bonus.

Personally I'd love to keep anything real based out of the game (see MD and Doritos). It's a fantasy game. And keeping product placement outside a game is a good thing. More immersion is a good thing; less bad.

As a forum poster who has been liken to a troll because of the way I post and despite this having a pretty healthy green bar even though I opted out of the popular game years ago im gonna have to give a no to this.

I like earning stuff in game for playing the game (favor, loot etc).

They offer the popularity award of large green bars for playing the forum games.

I do not feel the two should meet, it may implode things :)

But.... it already gives an in-game bonus.

I met a great bunch of players who joined my guild for awhile, because of what I wrote on the forums.

No other reward could be more valuable than that.
