So are any guild leaders interested in bringing their guild to Neverwinter, in addition staying active in DDO? Report in or send me a PM.

Uska, that can happen. It's happened with Turbine and it happens with all MMOs nowadays that have attached forum/game accounts. I've worked with them plenty on issues and I found them to be rather on the ball, once you get through to them (which was faster for me than any issue I delt with here thru Turbine, in my case. But with these things mileage - will change for everyone.)

You need to work with them to see if they need to simply flag you on their end, if they need to destroy or merge your original account, or if it's an issue on your end. Did you open a ticket with technical support? If you need their email, just let me know.

Not me!
Neverwinter is in the forgotten realms, and I had enough of the forgotten realms waaay back around about the time Cyric murdered his way to Godhood...

With Bhaal taken down by Tristan Kendrick and Bane beaten up by Cyric and Friends there was a clear gap for Cyric to move into!

1st Edition D&D was heavily aimed at eventual Godhood!

2nd Edition and onwards that calmed down a bit BUT those Forgotten Realms Novels were written with 1st Edition hard in the memories of the writers!

Salvatore added a 1st Edition Monk into his Cleric Quintet Novels - Monks being written out of 2nd Ed.

As for Neverwinter:

I have no time for another game at the moment - If DDO goes down I have SW:TOR Installed - I am looking forward to trying Pathfinder when it eventually arrives and would like to give Mechwarrior a go too.

I simply can't fit Neverwinter in!

Hey Uska,

I just explained you and your wife's issue to Sominator, the new Community Manager over there. Lets see what he can do. I put in a good word for ya, so hopefully it gets resolved to your liking.

Beta starts 3pm Eastern today, so if you are able to get on this now, you can possibly be playing today if all goes well :)

Pathfinder when it eventually arrives
Pathfinder is nothing but a dream which won't be realized until 2016 at the earliest light, if the project is still in the works.

Our guild is watching it closely for our first non-D&D game expansion, but its still very early and cant say Im a fan of their marketing campaign thusfar.

Oh I have their email and they have mine but my password doesn't work and when I try to rest it it says my email doesn't exist even though they sent me my beta invite for this weekend. I hope you continue to have fun with them but I knew I should have stuck to my guns and not had anything to do with the idiots of cryptic

Good luck

Thanks for trying to help but I have given up on them. Oh well don't have time for more than one game anyways

Good luck and have fun but don't leave ddo

Same here. I thought to try it, but if they aren't able to reset a password i don't know how much well they could do with a game.

Ok, Uska is now downloading! OMG I never thought Id see the day. ;)

As for Phemt81, you need to contact customer service. Uska's issue was a bit more complicated than resetting a password, but he's apparently all set.

A few tips:

First, ensure you are running the game in administrator mode. On some machines thats necessary. Unfortunately, they use the same Pando Media launch garbage that DDO utilizes, so startup can be quirky on some machines. Luckily, just like in DDO, you can uninstall it (I do) as soon as the games installed.

Two, sign into your forum account first, to make sure your account is still active there. Once there, you can click on My Account at the top of the page and make necessary changes.

You'll also see a support link toward the top. If you still need help, that's where you put in a ticket.

I am a guild leader and giving it a try.
They sent me my key a ways back because I bought Torchlight2 after I beat T1, well T2 has also been beaten.
Will I start my guild there not sure as of yet. Figure in an hour will give it a try.
My guild knows that I am real picky when it comes to games and claim to want to know if I like it.
So I figure I will be popping back and forth between the 2 this weekend.
I do not care for the cove. So on DDO its mt Fvs in the orchard slayers.

I SAY THEE NAY! As far as I'm concerned, Neverwinter is in direct competition with DDO for the DnD fanboi fanbase, and as such represents a clear and present danger to THIS game's continued existence. Granted, right now DDO's management and dev team constitute an even greater danger, but I can't very well boycott them, now can I?

Oh yeah, I understand. I give you major props the way you are handling it for your guild. This is what I did in October '11. I just read forums. February '12 I made the decision to sign up and give the game a go. It took me quite a while - since Cryptic was being so tight lipped, to make the decision to include a Neverwinter chapter to our guild. I can tell you now that I'm happy we made the jump. I wont tell you that ALL the Neverwinter community has been warm to DDO members who wish to make it like DDO over there. They rightfully want their own game.

Its been a phenomenal experience for our guild however, as new Neverwinter community members joined our ranks and really intermingled well with our family. There are some great folks over there, and established DDO guilds should have an advantage recruiting quality folks.

Its Ni, NI!

Seriously though, thats what I thought. I know that's not at all the case now. WotC is working closely with each development team, and they will create a fun developer and marketing challenge that should prove healthy to both teams, and most especially to us fans.

Yes.
How active I'll be in DDO may vary.

Well I am not leaving DDO myself. Figure I can play both.
I just paid for my year of DDO last month so will be here at least another.
Figure I will be here until they shut off the lights and lock the doors for good.
If I had not been working 90 hours per week in my cab in 06 I might have known about it.
If I had known about it in the beginning, I would have started playing then.
This first time I picked up the odd shaped dice in 76 I was hooked.
I love these types of games as well as the novels because your mind can take you places your body can never go.

Excellent. We have butted heads a few times on here on certain things, but on nothing important. I do respect the fact you've invested much time in making DDO a better game.

I'm looking forward to crossing paths with ya in Neverwinter.

Another reason I won't be playing Neverwinter, despite my love of the Forgotten Realms setting, is that I just don't have the time. Between DDO, DCUO, CO, TSW, and now PoE I just can't find the time to regularly play the games I do have on my computer, much less a new one. Fortunately I'm only actually paying monthly subscriptions for DDO and DCUO, having dropped the cash for lifetime subs for Champions Online and The Secret World, and Path of Exile is Free-To-Play.

Holy cow! Yeah you have a full plate alright! See I have a real job, so these games nowadays need to fill in my spare time in between work and hiding from the wife ;)

Don't mind me, I just have a migraine today in addition to my usually scheduled agonized entertainment. Google "hidradenitis suppurativa stage 3" sometime... Just not when you're eating.

After playing it I see little to no danger from it some people will leave us for some will play both some will not even bother with and some will be like me and say bleh.

It is to console like for me and even the best looking character there is uglier than the ugliest half-elf here and little to no customization between characters one wizard is pretty much the same as any other but that's pretty much how 4E pnp works except there people are the same because it's the best choice and for now NWO forces that choice maybe later there will be more choices to be made.

It's a young game. Yet another reason I won't be getting involved with it just yet is that I never touch an MMO until its been on the market for at least a year and really found its footing. Games can go through truly immense changes in just one year of life, so I feel it's completely unfair to judge any game this early in the development cycle.

Well, it's not bad advice. If you've checked your trash/old/spam folders and its not there your ISP probably delayed delivery. It does happen.

Lol, sorry, you are so kind to help me, but that is quite comical to hear, even considering italian ISP are some of the worst in the world! :D

Btw i checked their fb page and they said they fixed the "log in account issue", in fact i managed to get a new password doing exactly as i did weeks ago. Unfortunately, i didn't win any key lol.

Thanks again for your help Leslie! :)
