Enjoy the alliteration? (I did)

About halfway through my completionist train (choo choo, just started the Caster lives so its picking up speed!!) and upon going through my final life plans (as a pure Strength based Rogue) I've come upon a stump.

Not enough feats :/

Easy solution would be to go human but I only play Halflings (it's honestly more of a flavour thing and they have the have the only hairstyle I like! (Though if the enhancement pass gives the racial assassin prestige no benefits or meshing with the Rogue assassin prestige then I may reconsider, helf arti dillante has been dangling it's repeater prof and scroll level bonus seductively)

Anyway that means 9 feats available

Toughness
Completionist
TWF
ITWF
GTWF
Imp crit pierce (need to descontruct all my GS weapons as from what I understand Khopesh is out Rapier is in for Rogues these days (and it saves a feat!)
Power attack OR Precision (I haven’t had a Rogue life since they changed Precision, is it really better than Power attack for Rogues?)
Improved Sneak attack

Can't decide between Sneak of shadows or Epic Toughness for the last feat, can get E toughness and Improved sneak attack without a huge point investment.

(planned stats, have already nommed the +4 dex and +4 con tome. +3 tomes on all the rest currently)

Str: 14 (all other level ups here)
Dex: 17+4(Tome)=21 (Not that bad seeing as its only 8 build points on a halfling)
Con: 16+1(level)+4(Tome)=21
Int: 15
Wis: 8
Cha: 8

I haven't played much of endgame besides a few CITW runs (snagged the dagger woo) so I'm honestly not sure if the burst DPS from Sneak of shadows or the +50 hp would be more useful in EE content and if Power attack has truly been dethroned by Precision.

Any advice would be appreciated, though I hear “Halflings suck” more than enough from my guildies XD

Precision > Power Attack
Sneak of Shadows is great burst DPS, you can probably skip the 50 HP in favor of it.

For a completionist build, I would seriously advise going human. But if you want to remain halfling, you can make it work.

Cheers :)
I've tried playing other races before and I can't stand the sight of them, really puts me off playing them, so willing to lose out on the many benefits such as Human versatility and heal amp to enjoy playing more.

Should still end up around 650-700 hp (Without the E Toughness) which is respectable for Rogue as far as I know (right?)

Precision > Power Attack

Depends on the mob. If you are fighting Bosses which have no fortification (lloth's avatar) or you are using the Shadowdancer's Tier 5 ability which makes mobs vulnerable to sneak attacks, then Power Attack is the better choice. I'm happy to take both.

If I were to pick one, I'd choose Precision.

Khopesh is still a good choice, but Rapiers are close, and don't cost a feat.

Are you dead-set on going pure rogue? Because a monk splash (1 or 2 levels) would grant more feats, access to stunning fist, and therefore get even more mileage from the completionist feat. And it would solve the Rapiers vs. Khopesh choice by saying: "Handwraps".

650 - 700 HP is a good number for rogues, indeed.

I agree 100%.

18ROG/2MNK

Handwraps...bonus attack speed...

2 Feats...

4 Stances are nice also.

I hadn't thought about splashing monk before, will look into it, already have some nice wraps (Devouts, endless light etc)

What sort of stun DC is good for EE? ran the numbers and at very best can hit around 50-55

Toughness is not really required on a completionist rogue. Completionist adds 25 HP anyway.

Power attack is better than precision on dreadnought rogues. You can't use the cool dreadnought stuff without it.

If you are crazy enough you can dump improved critical and use a pair of Balizardes. You don't lose anything against trash. Bosses with low fort are a perfect target for Balizarde's insane critical profile. Bosses with high fort don't take much critical damage, so doubling the critical range of your rapiers doesn't help all that much.

Wouldnt that preclude taking any Toughness feats as well, though? Or does Completionist count as your prereq for that?

That being said, maybe PL: Barb would be better than Toughness. You lose out on a couple HP, but you get a Rage, which for a pure Rogue is just going to be a stackable 30s damage boost...

That is a point, does the Barb PL feat stop scroll use while active though?
