Undermine. Hands down Indiana Jones blowing s**t up. Planting bombs everywhere, the minefield. I always have the most fun in this quest.

I'm really fond of the Phiarlan Carnival. The whole chain. But really, my absolute favorite quest to run is Partycrashers.
The whole illusion thing is really an interesting take on it all. This quest really, really plays with it. Nothing is ever as it seems, even House Phiarlan. Three of the optionals, two of which are disguised as party goers, and another as a guard. Finishing off these three alone makes for a very, very rewarding ending. I was so impressed with this sequence that I actually made a rogue.
Technically, this whole chain has you playing as a spy, but this particular quest really exemplifies it.
I also enjoy the music here. It's very fitting. It has a very stealthy vibe, until a fight picks up.
This adventure really makes one wonder what other sorts of things that it's members are doing behind the scenes, especially since it has it's own spy network, that we, and the rest of Eberron are completely unaware of (Until you get so much favor, anyway). Especially when some of the higher ranked officials in the house don't even know about some of the things that are going on.
And come on. There's a bathroom with a rest shrine in it.

Simply the benchmark to which all other DDO content should be held up to.

Mine is Tor.
Love the huge layout of being in a giants castle. Reminds me of when i used to play old school pen n paper dnd. My DM on various occasions would lead us to such a place and everytime i go into Tor i get a nostalgic deja-vu kinda feeling. :)

I have only just recently run this (just got the pack in the Landlubber bundle. The whole chain is quite nice. Though I prefer Blockade Buster from that series.

Never done those, and only went up to VoN5 on a pass.

Tough choice...and great thread BTW!
I cannot limit to a number 1...how about a top 5...
In no particular order...
Wiz-King (this quest gives good XP...but that matters not...best part...that Mephit in the basement complaining)
Chains of Flame (in a good group its awesome...in a bad group...its the worst quest in the game)
Cave of Korromar (it like a baby Wiz-King...btw read the notes and take in the story...its a good one)
Proof is in the Poison (amazingly fun and challenging...best run w/o ship buffs)
And the Dead Shall Rise (climbing the Lich's tower is awesome...I wanna make this a PnP Module)

Thanks. :P
That Mephit is awesome. I also love watching people swinging at it.
I love reading into the stories on these quests. NPC's and all. Just wish I got more time to do that on some of them. I got a pass for VoN a while back, and wasn't allowed to read because it was just going to kill my pass timer. Bah.
The Laughing Knives seemed like such an interesting to go with, though.

I love the VoN chain. Each quest is unique, needing different gear and tactics. Favorite is Haywire (VoN4). Don't forget that jump clickie/pot!
And the raid, best in the game imo.

Caverns of Korromar.
It just has a great old-school pnp feel to me.
for those unfamiliar:
The quest entails the player being hired to investigate a Digsite that house Kundarak was sponsoring that suddenly and inexplicably stopped all communication. The house k party that went found the place overrun by undead, and sealed it up tight. You are sent in to eliminate the undead, and find out what happened.
I wont spoil any more (whats written above is all in the initial quest dialog anyway), but let me just say that it culminates in one of the nastiest fights most players will have yet encountered, against an iconic monster most will have not seen yet (the quest is level 8).

In order of levels:
Stealthy Repossession, with a bard
A Small Problem (not so fond of the rest of Carnival)
Sorrowdusk chain
Undermine
Prison of the Planes
Spinner of Shadows (only in a party - see below)
Reign of Madness chain, especially Acute Delirium
Elite Black Loch (heroic version pretty meh)
Spinner of Shadows is unusual in that it is one of very few quests which IMO is much more fun with a party than solo. I am a dedicated soloist, and had soloed all of the above quests. Some quests are of course impossible or impossibly difficult to do alone, but in some quests while party is not strictly necessary, it adds the highly enjoyable degree of craziness. Spinner of Shadows is one such -- solo it is doable, but not much fun at all.

Lessee... in no particular order:
Rainbow in the Dark -- I fell in love with this quest the first time I ran it. Needing a light source was SO fun! Felt totally like an old-school dungeon-crawl.
Partycrashers -- The illusionarium is great fun, and I love all the different things you have to get through. And if you do all the optionals, the end is just so funny. :)
Tomb of the Shadow Knight -- Sooooo many traps! I just love going through there with my trappers.
King's Forest -- Not a "quest" per se, but I LOVE this wilderness zone. Randomizes encounters, HUGE area to explore, and dragons!
Underdark -- Same as KF, I love exploring the Underdark. The first time I ran into a purple worms I squealed. "I'm fighting a purple worm!!" :)

Stealthy was the first quest I stealthed through, using actual Hide and Move Silently skills. Was a blast. Then I got on a wizard... Fast experience, but terrible immersion from it.
The biggest problem I had with A Small Problem was moving around in it. Too many plants in my face and I almost kept falling off of things. No fun.
Nothing to say on the other quests that hasn't been said, or I just haven't run them.
Three Barrel Cove. I love the beaches, the pirate airship, the hidden rares, and even the quests.
It's certainly a nice change of pace.

I have mixed feelings about Gianthold. Maybe I'll get a better appreciation for it on my monks, as opposed to my sorcerer.

Bluff skill is amazing.

The Pit
I like The Pit, and it's something I run often. But it's far from my favorite quest.
Chronoscope - just love running around in the ruined marketplace with danger at every corner.
Chronoscope brings a lot of "A-ha!" moments when you've run through the Carnival. Nat Gann is mentioned there as it is, so it's fun actually getting to figure out who he is.
Was about to say this myself. I like quests that I can actually get lost in. Having to use mapping and navigational skills adds a lot to the immersion factor for me.
*hides behind fire-resistant tower shield*
I don't get lost in there anymore, unfortunately. I dislike the map for that quest anyway. But it's nice of them to give you the entire map as it is. Could you imagine if they didn't?

The Crucible and The Pit have become two of my favorite.
Once you learn them, they are quick and easy XP.
In fact, you can get about twice the XP from The Pit than from Stormcleave in about half the time.

For Coal Chamber I made a three-dimensional map out of tinkertoys. I also made a model of Crucible maze out of Legos, with swinging gates - so I can see which gates are opened or closed at any time.

As far as chains go, I do like the Carnival chain, Harbinger/Reign of Madness is awesome, but I have a soft spot for Attack on Stormreach.
An unrelated sidenote;
I don't know what it is, but I LOVE the music in Framework
But the nostalgic part of me gets a little warm in my heart when I roll a brand new level one and run around Korthos.

Wow, so many to choose from for different reasons. Some are excellent xp/min, some are just a blast to run.
Von3 is one I like elite farming, with two arti's and beholder optic nerves it's just a blast to run.
Wiz-king again divide and conquer great fun.
I do enjoy all the GH and Vale quests, once I figured out coal chamber I really enjoy farming it.
The Pit is great fun also.
ADQ kiting the mari while she is 'I am War' while going oh **** oh **** oh **** and hoping your last endless doesn't glitch out on you never fails to put a smile on my face.
Elite RwtD with people who don't know it. Having the palemaster go "Don't worry guys I got this one-ding-" Then the next guy going "I'll get your stone and res yo-ding-" just makes me grin for some reason....maybe I am a bad person. =o\

I haven't done that one, but that's my take on Proof is in the Poison with people who don't know it.
I was invited to a random group through the social panel, and I was running STK. Since I was in a private instance, I couldn't be kicked out, so I got to read the Party chat the entire time they were running it. I ended up leaving after I finished part two of the chain and helped them out at the end.
The lines of, "This is insane for a level 4 quest? The **** were they thinking!?" Really, really fun to watch. :p

Acute delirium OFC!
That quest is pure madness, it's funny as hell, well written and it's hard but not that hard.
I also love that one in which you get to sneak into a pirate fort and break ballistas, that's my kind of sneak-and-go quest.

As others have mentioned, I can't put my finger on just one -
My favs are, (in no particular order)
Abbot Raid - It really does take teamwork and running teaching runs is phenominal fun - when a raid group sees tiles for the first time - wonderful
The whole Necro series (1-4) has great storyline even if most of the quests aren't on my top list.
Remembering my first times in The Pit, Crucible, and Proof is in the Poison (all with 6-man newb groups BTW) brings back fond memories and my guild still runs The Crucible on Elite at level on New Years Eve every year since that is the anniversary of when we first ran it.

This is a seriously hard question to answer.
Favorite raid: ToD - mastering it on Elite when it was still end game (really hard) was a blast. I had a hard time picking it over Shroud (complexity / loot relevance) and Chronoscope (fun).
Favorite quest: Seigebreaker maybe? That quest really blew my mind when it first came out.. challenging, good rewards, good DM voice, tons of optionals (I love optionals that are worth doing). Runner up would be Enter the Kobold I think, love the end fight!
Favorite pack: Gianthold, probably. Lot's of content, all of it good (except the raid, sadly). MotU would be a runner up but completely in a league of it's own.
Favorite Challenge: Underdark Arenas. something DDO has been missing (except maybe Devil Assault). I love arena fights.. they need to be made harder, more mobs!

That's a good point with the DM you made. Attack on Stormreach, and perhaps the Eyes of Stone chain as well, were really well done in. I even love how they call it, "The Unspeakable" in Siegebreaker. Quite humorous, really.

The Prisoner (VoN 2) was before it was "fixed". I loved the pucker moments when jumping off elevated areas. It felt the most like an old-school D 'n D adventure, with just a few encounters and THE classic monster- the beholder.
The Crucible. Traps, a maze, a swim that provides gut-churning moments when not on an evasion char.
Plane of Night (VoN 6) also before the changes. Getting several random players to work together on the bridges was intense, and the feeling of being the one guy out there against the dragon remains unequaled.
The Goodblades quests. Everyone had to do them and they were fast and fun. That stupid skeleton on elite at the end of Quest for the Ancient Daggers was a nasty manager for level 2s.
I'd like to see a sequel to Caverns of Korromar. The story really drew me in.
Before it took a month to get to it, I loved Scoundrel's Run.

As far as non-raids go, either Xorian Cypher or Sleeping Dust. I like to run Dust properly, with a zero kill count on spiders, at least once a life, only because I'm really excellent at it.

I ran the Let Sleeping Dust Lie on my acid savant with a family member. Kept tossing Acid Rain around and I kept getting told not to kill them, where I reminded them that they're immune to acid. Fun times, but it's the only time I've really run that quest. Perhaps I should run it on my own one of these days and see if I think any differently of it.
I can think of one other person who might speak of Tempest's Spine as their favorite quest, think you just answered it first. :P

Waterworks. Strange but true.
After that I like the Vale.
And then there's lots of contenders but I do like the last dreaming dark quest.

When you can beat Coal Chamber Elite in 2 minutes, it deserves no love in this thread.
Cool, can you post the URL of the video?

One of my favs ..sins of attrition. Just cause it's fun for a caster..plus the NWN type of thing to it. Where as in the end of neverwinter it depends on how you treated people..sins has the different bosses you can fight due to your choice of what you took on the table. Would be interesting if they made a few more like that where as the ending depends on what you do in quest. Would make many more dungeons not so redundant (makes it replayable) and fun to play choosing different endings..or even things along the way. Just a thought :)
It would actually make an update seem like a lot more content then getting bored and waiting 3 months for the next one.
Almost like crucible with the skill checks..in a group have points where certain skills are required to go one way or to move on..the more i think about it the more i like it lol
Choose your own adventure type quests I guess is what I am saying. For those of us that remember those books (old fart alert lol)

Tor
It is by far one of the most repeatable loot runs in the game. The quest is fun. There are three chances for scales and optional named loot you aren't even after. It isn't a raid so no waiting. The dragon and giant boss fights are great, both for the battle and because you get to fight three dragons! The best part of course is that it is fun.

Yes things like tor as well...just more to do in the end. and different endings on regular stuff depending on skill sets. Doesnt have to be set in stone for solo, but for grouping it would make it where you need different types to see different outcomes. Maybe that elusive opening for different classes in lfm people feel left out of. I dunno just thought it was a good idea and no game to play I am bored throwing stuff out there :)

- Purge the Fallen Shrine - the map is blue! That's awesome.
- Rainbow in the Dark
- Von 3
- The whole Harbinger chain in the harbor. Creepy, but very cool.
- Druid chain in Eveningstar. I don't actually like the quests, but the scenery is gorgeous.
I love soloing Sins of Attrition on my favored soul. Not so much any of my other toons, though.

Waterworks one of my favs to. It was just fun to play. And years ago you were not allowed in the city till you got permission from harbormaster to get in. It made you feel back then like wow I did It i can go play with everyone now lol. Now you can just get into most things and that sense of accomplishment was gone.
When I started there was a sign on the city gates that said you suck go away...and you looked through the bars wondering what was in there..lol

In the flesh.
Simply an awesome quest. So much so I try to solo it on elite at level whenever I'm on a ranged toon and failed each time). If this was one of the challenges, I'd do it at every level.
(daylight)
The pit, crucible, twilight forge (pre), shadow crypt, proof is in the poison, Abbot, VoN 5, Chains of Flame.

The Tide Turns
Constant mild fighting, good 'jump to avoid the traps' funzies, and short but not too short.
Almost every corridor asks whether you want to 'zerg this part, invis this part, or fight conservatively?' with different pay offs in every direction. You can also clear the rat pits beneath the pipes in case a party member falls, or take the risk that they'll be fine if they do (usually true but not always, and if they don't then kill the rats, you're 4 critters closer to a bad dungeon alert) or no one will fall.
You also don't NEED a trapper, but they are actively helpful enough to be worth waiting for a disarm if you do have one - which to me is the ideal way to use traps in quests.
Love it all around. Oh and pirates yay.
Oh! And still somewhat useful unique Epic items!

Stormcleave: I like to walk around in this one - this quest has so much unexplored areas, it's really a shame they serve no purpose other than storytelling. Like the giants cooking their meal.
Storm The Beaches: this one always reminds me of a WW2 flick, where your team of commandos has to infiltrate a nazi fortress. I can't help but feel "sneaky" just stepping into this quest.
3BC explorer area: this one is so much fun.
Scoundrel's Run: killing some minotaurs, doing mini challenges. One quest I will never skip.
Rest Stop: breaths old style D&D, this dungeon could have been plucked straight from Baldur's Gate.
Other classics: Gwylan, Siegebreaker, Missing, ... so much good quests around.

absolutely these are the best for me:
- the crucible : nothing of more fun to bring u to the limits and see you fail the quest once the swimmer went killed.
- Rainbow in the dark : very unique, lots of fun when the party split and nobody sees anything around and get lost.
- SinsOfAttrition/New Invasion : you feel like be the meat in the wolf's plate.. great evil atmosphere in here.
- Jungle of Kyber (von3) : just because you gain a lot of xp and it's a lot of fun to, everyone in the party must do something to success.
- The Xorian chiper : same as crucible+jungle of kyber= bring u to the limits and everyone must do their bests to do well.
- Heyton's Rest : it's so funny when u start (or TR) a new toon and find yourself in the first quest - do you remember the first time you play this quest ? i feel so nostalgic.
- Misery peak : it's wonderful when you run in MP, the first hard run with the new toon+ a lot of atmosphere.
- the pit : best maze quest in the game. When u learn the pit it's like to win the game (or you belive that, LoL).
- the Shroud : simply because everyone knows the shroud and it's the most enjoyable raid in the game.

Epic chain of flames, no Im not a masochist I love that freaking quest period even the run out to it especially on my rogues and rogue hybrid builds. It was the first epic quest my guild went in and beat, and it was like going in blind because none of us knew where the traps were or what the traps were it was so much fun though the non evasion players probably didn't feel that way :D
still one of my favorites even on heroic to ive managed to solo it a few times now and its a blast.

I think it used to be that wall of fire and all the mobs were red name they also spammed casters at you it was insanity. The last time I did the end fight though it was on Epic Hard you were not trapped only one red named the rest were orange and insta killable only one wave of the cabal happened and it pretty much was a cake walk. Though I never soloed epic elite so maybe its still insane at that level.

I have a strange taste, I actually liked tomb of the Tormented. Leading rats through a maze is fun. That and you get a ridiculas amount of XP for a 15min quest is good too.

See your lucky my first experience with that quest made it a no no for me, sober joined a pug on Thelanis they were all drinking (should have been my cue to booze up eh?) 3 hrs later still trying to get someone to guide the rat properly threw the maze one of the guys talking about the most mundane thing as if we were not spending 3 hrs in the darn quest and I think one of the dudes may have passed out at some point. Heck I am still trying to figure out how we completed I just knew I hated that quest after that and even on fast runs with my guild im more happy when im not in that quest lol.

I ran that one on a pass. My experience with it was less than pleasant, to say the least. I think I'd get a better appreciation for it if I were to run it on my own.
Quests always seem more entertaining on my own. Perhaps it's just because I like to see how quests work.
