p.s. enter gain for a few minute, and find sever quite empty.. all friend offline, guild lose a few level and no one online.. are trubine still working on this game? or they give all up last year along with that buggy unfinished expansion?

Enhancements are still on hold it would seem, next update will be GH epic in the next week or so.
Perhaps one day the enhancements will be done perhaps not, meanwhile you could stick around, who knows, you might enjoy it.

Server is empty all the time when I log in (as I m in the opposite ends of the world). But yeah, last time I checked we had around 100 players playing and mostly in forums. We are having a 12-hour downtime today to check the psychology of the players if DDO goes down. If everything is ok, it will be shut down forever.
And no, Turbine is not working on this game anymore. Next update is planned for 2015, if its still alive. The bugs were there, are there and will be there till it closes.
Lastly, oh yeah, NWO has 4 classes built for you(yes you cant customize them). But heh, you can have longer finger nails and can adjust your boob size (chest depth and height). You just pick, and off you go. Hope you have fun there!

It depends mostly on what time you're looking at the LFM panel. It's usually stacked full around 18-23 @ +1 UTC on Thelanis, especially on weekends. And barren at other times.
It's also a LOT more 1-19 LFMs than there is 20-25, even though the 20-25 make up around 50% of the characters.

I only get to play sparingly; perhaps 2-6 hours a week being a single dad, but it seems G-land has a bazillion LFM's up for various classes and levels while the "WHO" tab seems to have a ton of folks as well. I'm in Arizona, and I am usually able to play after the young lady goes nighty-night; give or take 9:00-10:00 pm local, if that info helps the population-keepers!
As for the hugs and warm milk - I'm IN if you throw in some chocolate chip cookies, too!:D:D

Most of the people I know get on late night, or on the weekends. (Thelanis)
People leave, and more people come. It's how MMO's work. Not all of us can afford to play it day in and day out. While I might, for the most part, be able to do that, I don't know anyone else in game that does. They have jobs, school, and family to tend too.
One gal I know got swamped and currently only really gets on for about an hour a night, if that. It's how things go.

I pretty much believe they are holding off on the enhancement revamp so that it is released to coincide with the release of NWO.
The reason being that NWO has almost no character customization past appearance. If the enhancement pass comes at the same time, fewer people may play NW, they will be fiddling with new character builds here (oooo battle clerics, occult slayers and deepwood snipers!! shiny!).

Maybe. Remember though, that while the games themselves might be in competition, the licensing companies are not, which goes through WotC for both. Its my speculation that since there is somewhat of a rift between 3rd and 4th edition followers, the brand needed a 4e version to market to players who are more accustomed to traditional MMO style playing, where choosing a class is basically choosing your role at the same time. I doubt that would cause fewer people to play NW, since they are basically two completely different games.
I actually wish there was MORE competition though, because it would help drive development of both games to meet a higher standard. NW plays more like LOTRO than it does DDO.

some groups do fill very fast or it could be people don't like you, guild, or your style. It just really depends. The main issue is a lot of people dont want to lead and dont want to put a lfm up. So they will either a solo or b wait for someone else to do it.

Cannith, Orien, and Wayfinder are not the older servers out there so it doesn't surprise me that they would be less populated. I do feel though that it simply is related to when you are online. Different servers seem to have slightly different peak and nearly empty times during the day.

Seriously though it's down a little, yeah for sure I am on Big T and it's down. I personally don't put up as many LFM's anymore because I have been playing my cleric through his second life and who needs that abuse!
Last 2 pugs I started I managed to get not one but two zerg ahead with no AC, No Dodge, No PRR, No Healing amp and great Hate Gen types who promptly died and then yelled at me for letting them die. So Lesson learned, if I can solo it, or solo with a hire then I shall do so. I only play for perhaps 8 to 10 hours in a week I don't need the hassle when I am in there.
On a side / side note I just stepped into Gianthold on my Cleric and MAN does it make me miss my Arcanes! LOL.

The marketing department made a decision to postpone the enhancement pass for a year. The decision was made when the enhancement pass was determined not ready at the MOTU release date so instead of releasing the enhancement pass 3 months after the MOTU when the bugs and kinks were ironed out marketing decided to postpone it's release for 9 more months so we, ' the playerbase' have something to look forward to in May-June of this year.

Care to quote where WB said they want to sell? You say last time you checked DDO had 100 players? Where exactly are you getting that from? There's well over 300 people on argo alone. (Go to the who tab set 1-25 and click go. Lots and lots of people are on.)
I haven't seen an empty LFM tab anytime except for perhaps an hour at most at 1am EST. Most times it's packed full of all level ranges. sure there may not be anything at my current level range from time to time, but an empty LFM tab is extremely unusual.
The downtime today is for internal reasons not to test us or even (sadly) to fix anything. I see people buying and selling 5000TP codes frequently in Argo alone. I see new players daily.
Next update in 2015? Care to quote where you found that? We're getting u17 in a few weeks.
( Again if I'm failing some inside joke here just ignore all this)

Ouch, such a poor opinion of the game. It is thriving in my opinion as updates and fixes are still coming out. As long as the DDO team is spending their time and money on a variety of new content and adjustments to existing contect as needed the game is in far better shape than most.
If you quit the game because of one or even two items then it will be very difficult for you to find any game or MMO that you would truely enjoy. As for me DDO is by far the best MMO out there.
As a side note I took some time to research NWN as I do for all things D&D and to say I am unempressed may be an under statement. NWN will crash and burn if it comes out as it is currently intended as I know almost no one that has seen the intended game play and likes it.

Cannith is most certainly not "dead". I see lfm's constantly, in all level ranges. Sometimes you run into a brief bit where it slacks off, but I've never had a problem finding a group, or just starting my own.

I play on Orien pretty much exclusively now, and almost always after midnight central time, and even when i click only show groups i can join i see at average five, and if i show all it's a few dozen. If i look on the "who" panel, it scrolls for a good while, not sure on numbers though, but easily a few hundred.
These doom threads have been going since the game launched, heck, WoW still gets them and they are about 9 million players still. Your guild and friends does not equal good statistics.
I'd love to see the enhancement pass happen, seems like it would be much better than what we have now, but remember what we have now is worlds better than what we had at launch. Via DDOWiki, a look back at how much has changed:
The enhancement system was totally redesigned in Mod 3.3. Before that date, a player could only have four enhancements. However, one line of enhancements only counted as one enhancement. For example, a level 10 dwarf could only select Dwarven Armor Mastery III, he could not select the second nor the first and that counted as one of his four enhancements.
Back in that time, player could not save action points before leveling. In fact, if a player had unspent action points when leveling, he received a warning message.
Once a character had reached the maximum level possible at that time, he received a free action point every 20,000 XP so that he could change his enhancements if he so chose.
On Update 7, class specific enhancements like Cleric Heal I has been replaced with generalized enhancements like Improved Heal I. This also brought down costs of the four tiers of the skill enhancements. Before, tier I, II, II and IV cost 1, 2, 3 and 4 AP respectively. Now, all tiers cost 1 AP each for generalized enhancements. This improved the viability of Prestige_enhancements for many builds.

As the page says that based on information discovered on the preview server. Occasionally things that aren't quite ready yet have accidental leaked out there. So what you see is a very rough start to the PRE/enhancement rework and subject to change.

Yep I noticed the note about Lam, but didn't see a date or any specifics so without being on their myself it's hard to say if that was something recent or what.
So I guess that's news on the enhancement revamp then?
So do we know what kind of level pre-reqs those tiers have? It obviously works kinda like ED's but the way that looks a lvl 2 rogue splash could get tier 5 assasinate just not the autogrants that have rog level requirements.
Probably like a lot of players I'm a little worried about how many builds the new enhancement system is going to totally break. Right now a 12 level rogue can get Assasinate... and can multiclass... If Tier 5 requires X rogue levels then obviously that could change that dynamic. Same thing with Ninja Spy I getting shadow fade at Monk 6.

This is news. Can anyone on Lam expand on the actual level requirements? If you have 2 rog and take the TA enhancement line, does it work just like an ED? You can choose to put points into the tiers but the innates that require X rog levels will be unattainable? Or do the tier abilities also have their own not yet listed requirements?
If they're showing some of the lines on Lam then I suspect they are a little closer than "never" to getting the revamp done.

the new enhancement system is currently of no estimated date. Which means odds are it aint coming in 013. Not that anyone really goves a **** about a new enhancment system so much as that they want to be able to mix class and racial pre's. As well as many want their class pre's looked at/finished/completely modified because they currently suck.
So if you were planning on quitting, rest assured you can quit safely as those changes aren't in the near future.

There was something of a leak during a preview on Lammania. They were taken down shortly after, I think. But if you browse the forums, there's a rough outline of Assassin, Acrobat and Henshin Mystic. All of which are obviously subject to change.

I played a game like that, except no guild was large enough to field 70+ people, so instead multiple guilds would group up. I still remember in DAoC, I would have never joined a guild without first happening to have grouped with a lot of their people. This became vastly less likely to happen once games didn't require massive numbers of people to do things.
