Squeak!!! Second time I had 30 seconds of notice before it came down. Ya know, when I'm at the end boss in Servants of the Overlord, I usually would like a little longer than 30 seconds. I know...I'm a noob. lol. But really...second time in a row for me. The columns ( remaning time, current price, buyout price ) are still messing with each other.

Oh, I know. But a annoying as that bug is, I am sure there are bigger bugs that can't be worked around that need attention. It would be nice to have people working on various bug severities. So a couple of devs handling all these low end issues can hammer them out while the rest are working on heavier issues.

your EDs are not lost, It's just the Flag : Has Talked to Fatespinner and Chosen an Active Destiny that got reset.

For me too. Everything was back where it was once I talked and selected my active destiny.

There is a reason for that Flag reset, but it's Fight Club material. ( hint : a DDO store item that disappeared from live a few week ago is involved )

I would suggest posting this in the bug forums after bug reporting it (assuming the bug reporter still works).

So far, I've found after transfering Ziind Stargazer (who is STILL a WF FVS on Orien), the Fatespinner tried to say that he also did not have any epic destinies (or levels in any of them) until after I clicked on a destiny, then I saw the levels that were supposed to be there. Gonna try TR'ing to see just what happens to the destiny exp after a TR.

After TR'ing on Lamannia, I've found that all of my destinies remained in tact, however, I did speak to the Fatespinner for the first time since copying Ziind over to lama while he was level 25... There may still be a bug and I just haven't encountered it? >.>

They have never really given a release date. So it hasn't been "pushed back" per se. Many ppl speculate that it'll be released on Turbine's anniversary, which is the 24th iirc. This would make sense, but wouldn't particularly mean anything more to me. I just want it to be released when it's ready.

This has nothing to do with a release date but rather update 17 has been on lammania since 1/17/13 and there has been very few changes really to the build on lammania which indicates that this update has been close to release the whole time, but Turbine has held the update's release up to the live servers. It will have been on lammania a month at a minimum before release = lousy.

I wouldn't call it lousy, I would call it buggy. :D The hit to ED exp is something a lot of people would walk from. Some big issues to fix before it goes live.

Since this is our first Heroic/Epic Adventure Area, we put U17 on Lamannia early so we could catch more bugs. We were able to get in the tweaks to the Adventure Area, fix some flagging issues, etc. Also, we know that people have been looking forward to Epic Gianthold for a while.

Also, The guide is currently in the Harbor near the Trainers. Hopefully he'll stick around there for a while.

I ran my U16 script last night. It still has a few quirks that I'm trying to work out. I'll run it again tonight.

I did lose my Destiny XP. I ran several Gianthold quests w/o my destiny. I then talked to the Fatespinner and not only got my original XP back, but received all I should have gotten while adventuring.

I will try to get some reproductions of the bug as long as the guide is around.

For planning, I was thinking of trying the following:
1. Gather max exp, spend on ed's, fates, etc, buy a +2 to make sure all variables that were mentioned are in place. Then TR and get max exp and attempt to manipulate EDs at lvl 20/21.
~Results: Made a single class toon, leveled to 20+epic for destiny, got a fate +2 tome, spent it, and levelling afterwards, I have to talk to guide each level until lvl 14. Then it gives to 20. At each stage, the ED's stayed and didn't lose anything.
2. different character, get 20 lvls and eds, lesser reincarnate +5 into something split, check to make sure ED's are running, LR +5 again (pulling the origional 18/2 into a 10/8/2), and then TR and get to 20 again and see if it repros.
~There are no +5 hearts on the ddo store and I don't have one, so I can't get it to be done yet. Will try with the normal lesser heart. Need to wait until tomorrow for tp to buy another true heart.
3. Try the same lesser tr and main tr in a singular row, so get to 20, get sme ed's, then lr, then tr. Repeat checking eds after each reincarnation.
4. repeat scenario 2, but checking eds at each reincarnation.

Lamannia should be getting a new build within the next few days. Everyone will likely have to talk to the Fatespinner again to reclaim their Destinies at that time. I would certainly appreciate it if some of you have various characters left in various states (Combinations of: Level 20-25, Reincarnation(s), recent XP gain, etc.) to help me further test this issue.

only lost epic destiny xp on one of my characters prior to the shut down i had done a lesser TR to correct a couple of mistakes i had made then went back to the fatespinner and rest my destiny's every thing was fine ran about 4 quest just did make it out of the last one but was unable to log out due to the shut down. After returning to the game all toons destiny's reset just fine with no problems except the 1 but after 3 days went by i it fixed

As much as it sucks, I think it would be a lot of work to tweak those timers. Who is to say it isn't a timer race condition? If you have to wait a time for LR's and TR's and it is muddling eachother when you mix and match before the time expires, then that could have far reaching consequences not covered by ED exp wiping.

That would be great.
I'm sure a lot of the current Lamania lurkers are willing to help track down the LR/TR/GR bugs with EDs but won't' due to timers and similar puny things that are reasonable on live but are a nuisance when you do a bug hunt.
( I am more than willing to help track down that bug, even if I'm not a big fan of reincarnations. ( I did a few LR/GR to reach 32 points and fix a few things, and 1 single TR on a character to get her to Druid when they came out... )

Yeah, somewhere else there was talk about it being a bug and how it looks similar to the exp loss, but isn't.

As far as reincarnation timers, I think a better approach would be devising a coupon code for lamannia that cuts the cost of everything to 1 tp.

I can't attempt repros without said guide. :D Well, I have some characters setup, now I have to milk tp from pointman until I can afford all the hearts needed to attempt repros. The time for most events is when I am usually out, so I miss out. Hopefully someone is there ot get a solid repro.

In a different thread (maybe the one I linked above) there was word about it may be something with druids and bards, so I will make sure I try some druid and bard lives. Despite the main OP I saw with details was FvS and monk, splashing fighter during the bug occurance.

Also someone else mentioned being pure sorc or wiz and having it happen. It is slowly leaning towards lesser tring and then tring without gaining any new experience.

Having the xp returned is different from having the bug that caused it to disappear in the first place fixed. (unless I missed another post somewhere)

Sense the game came back online after the maintance shutdown the sword no longer looks like a sword. It now looks like a twisted pulsateing rambow spike ( looks kind of cool really). Not sure if it has been noticed on live servers just noticed it here because i have several characters that have 1. I did turn in a bug report it is a minor bug but thought you might like to know.

oh and yes it still functions like it suppose to and on some of my chacaters it is totally invisable

I have just been informed that the DDO Store on Lamannia will remain down for an undetermined amount of time since the store needs some work. I will keep you updated as I find out more information.

+2 tomes. I guess it's nice for anyone that just started playing DDO. And then finally the pork barrel explodin' thingy.

Works for me...can never complain about tomes not everyone needs em but good reward endless heroism is kinda meh but I may take it on one of my characters (if it was GH it would be awesome), cakes or mana pots are probably going to be the most popular choice for anyone who doesn't need a tome. Would like to see more...maybe a handful off DDO store items or a giant bag of crafting ingreds.

Most of my characters that don't need tomes will take the cakes (although blue bars may take the pots)

Eternal Flask of Heroism sound nice as an alternative for people that don't have a hoard of planar girds. Yup, you can buy Heroism potions, but saving trips to the potion vendor is always good.

Does it have a large cooldown? Lower CL? Higher ML? Anything to not make this a good option?

i do have a question about the DDO store being down....I have been going to Lord Poincelot everyday to collect my free TP I am assumeing or guessing that our point are adding up while the store is down? Or what? Just curious
