Ranger self healing ability

Alert: I've taken a break from the game for a few months so I might be missing something here. Please tell me

I'm playing around with a TR for my main and thinking to go 15 Ranger/3pal/2rog or 18 ranger/1ftr/1rog
Either way i'm concerned about the number i should be expecting to see when i try to heal myself with CSW.

I did a rapid estimate counting spell power 84 from my old DT armor, 20 spell power from pots, 80 from ranger devotion IV, 150 from maximize: 31.5+31.5*1.15*(84+20+80+150)= 150
That's not really impressive, even factoring that i have around 100% healing amplification, i'll be hitting only for around 300. It seems to me i'd be better off just healing myself with heal scrolls.

Am i getting something wrong?

With the rogue enhancements you would get about 75% of the healing, but I think you'll find that using CSW is a lot more time efficient and a lot less cumbersome. With that said, why not get both abilities? Then you could see for yourself and being able to use a Heal scroll in a pinch isn't a bad thing.

Yes i agree that using both CSW and heal scroll would be useful.
I was just thinking if going 15 ranger for CSW is actually worth it, or if i should rather stop at 12ranger and go with some better dps split.

I thought about this build because i had a lot of fun during a past paladin life with torc + quicken + maximize, but that was before u14 with the spell power thing and i'm pretty sure i saw bigger numbers back then :(

Human Ranger 18/1/1 with 30% Racial Healing Amp, 30% + 20% Healing Amp from Gear, 10% Healing Amp from Ship Buffs, Full Ranger Devotion spell power, and 72 Devotion from gear I heal my self for between 285-350 with a Maximized CSW. Average around 320.

That's plenty of healing to get you to full in about 2 casts. It's faster than scroll casting, great for in between combat heals (or emergency run away for 5 second heals), is bottomless heals if you have a torc, and you really have nothing better to spend your SP on. I'm failing to see how this is anything but great.
