Trying to find Firefang in Battlefield

I think I'm looking in the right spot, according to the map: http://myddo.webs.com/maps/static/DevilBattlefield.jpg

I have over 1700 kills and have reset the map at least 20 times. I've seen Firfang in that spot before on other characters (a few updates ago, though).

Anyone seen him lately or know if the spot has changed, or know a quick way to see if he's there? (based on other spawns, etc)

Of course, I realize I may be just really unlucky this time around.

There are 3 rares that cycle in that spot. Firefang, Blackpaw, and the one Devil. Easiest way may be to get the beacon to ToD jump over the fence, beat up the monsters, walk back to the tower cave, and reset.

Just did a grind for all the rares last night - they all pop, but those three are problematic to drop sometimes. For me it was Blackpaw, took 10+ runs to get him. Actually didn't finish, since Makari didn't drop during any of those runs or 3-4 after. But they're still in place.

Thanks, great idea. It was MUCH faster to do this way, and wasn't a bad little loot run. Got Firefang after a few tries.
