Update to Lamannia

I just wanted to let you know that Lamannia is currently down for an update. We wanted to bring the fixes that are already on live to Lamannia. (You should now be able to complete Lost in the Swamp again.) Not much is changing with this update: Lamannia is still Update 16 patch 1. And no, I did not do the character wipe for this.

I will let you know when Lamannis is back up!

flushed DNS after getting error 5000 message after pc restart during loading game data have a 0.02 to 0.01 kb/s then get general error unable to access account info message is it just me or is it a server problem??

no the character is already copied to lamannia its there on the character select screen after logging in but when i choose it i get a thing pop up saying character could not be saved

You have code on live that you never bothered to put on Llama? Really?

If you could actually figure out how to manage your code base so that old bugs and exploits didn't make their way back onto live after they have been fixed and if you could actually figure out what code belongs on live and what code belongs on your development/test/QA/beta servers, then maybe you would have more time to code new features and fix more bugs instead of having to go back and fix old bugs again and again and again.

Turbine, please get a handle on your version control. Please.

They generally don't test hot fixes on Lamannia before deploying them, (would kind of defeat the purpose of a quick emergency fix to put in there for a week before going live) so yes there is code on live that is not on Lamannia.

Edit: I do think that there are people at Turbine who do test code in an effort to find bugs that developers can later fix. I just see the obvious indications that they don't do unit testing on all of their code changes (if they did, then their release notes would be accurate) and that they don't do regression testing on bugs that reappear (if they did, then bugs would reappear only once and not multiple times as they currently do). That's really not QA's fault. Turbine's QA has more work than any QA department can possibly do because they don't control their versions. When you don't even have the same code on all of your servers, it's not really possible to do appropriate testing. You don't have to put code on Llama for a week in order to maintain the same code base on your test server(s). Just put the code on Llama at least at the same time as you put it on Live. Make sure that the software on the boxes that you do the code testing on match the Live environment EXACTLY. All the same settings. All the same code. All the same additional software.

tried to pick up a pair for my monk yesterday all i seen was the name was unable to get him a pair what is the deal with those? and how can i get a pair?

As far as I know, the 'select next item key' is also mapped to "Q", which creates less cramps and knots.

is there going to be a server wipe and when is next xp loot event one last thing before i was not able to select an epic destiny was told by someone on there its a bug some ppl get but no matter what i did i could not get an epic destiny

Sorry but looks like it didnt matter anyway. I also just TR'd toon yesterday to get on today and find they wiped server for Update 17. Sad to I had 23 toons all geared ready to go. Now I have 2 of the 5 I can copy 3 of them failed well 2 I know for sure did 1 I'm not sure about since the password bug is back and cant get on to see if it made it. Sure hope it does cause it has the gear for the ones I will be creating on the server. But at least I had 1 toon that made it so I could try it out. Only ran slayer area was fun. Lol 1 rare after I got him his chest appeared 30' in the air with no way to get to it, though I almost got it by runnin up to crucible and jumpin of the side clicked on chest on way down, but alas didnt quite get it :)
But anyway hope you have or had better luck than me on your character copies :)

I logged out to do some stuff after about an hour i went to log back in logged in fine but after i selected a character and hit enter nothing happened after about 5 minutes i got connection to server lost. I did a dns flush and tried 2 more times got same thing. Anyone else having this problem? guess i hit the sack and get some shut eye maybe it will work when i get up
