I put icy burst on a great sword and I would like to add the force critical ritual as well. Will these stack fine? As in, not overwrite the other. Thanks in advance.

Yep, the stone of change recipes stack with everything.

As a follow up/related question: does adding force crit to a blue boxed BtA weapon make it BtC? I know that typically adding it will btc it, just wondering if anyone knows how it affects blue box bta weapon
.

you have to bind and attune it to add the force crit so it will be BTC, but put force damage on instead if you can as it does more damage overall no matter the crit range

If you have BtA item and add any recipes of Stone of Change then it will remain BtA!
That's why end reward random loot from Sharn Syndicate, Redfens (and some other packs, I think Shan-To-Kor drops some BtA random stuff too) is so good to have since they can be BtA.

For example, get a BtA weapon from The Sharn Syndicate, add Festival Icy Burst, add Force Damage Ritual at Stone of Change and you'll have still BtA weapon!

Btw, BtA random loot items remain BtA even in Cannith crafting.

I had to check for myself because that sounded odd. Sure enough, I had an old BTA item that had force critical on it(from back in the halcyon days of auto-crit), and it is still BTA and still says Bound and Attuned.

I concur that force dmg is the way to go, it's better to have constant force dmg than marginally higher crit dmg every once in awhile.

BtA items retain their BtA status after you bind and attune them. I know my carnifex's all have force damage rituals and retained their BtA status.

Oh man, why didn't I think of that, thanks. That thing is my lowbie stand-by.

btw, if im not mistaken, the force DAMAGE works better than force CRITICAL, even if your crit range is 14-20. im 99% there is a thread about that too

EDIT: here it is http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=224477

It's the Attack on Stormreach upgrades that remove Force Rituals.

I had to ask also about Icy Kits & Force cause I remember being burned and losing a Force Damage Ritual.

Now it's coming back- it was when I created Vampiric Stonedust Handwraps- I had Force Damage on them before adding Vampirism. I was able to put Force Damage back on them afterwards- but that was a waste of good collectables.
To bad you can't add Icy Kits to named stuff.

Just to confirm for anyone with lingering questions, the order doesn't matter. I have done it both ways already this festival:

Adding risia icy burst and then force ritual works fine, both are retained.
