So at some point, I can't even remember how long ago id heard it said that bards were going to be due some sexy lovn. Mainly in the enhancement department. (not sure about spells though)

Is that anywhere in the somewhat foreseeable blind eye future there? I mean it's almost questionable to be pure as a SS or a virt but warchanter wise, past lv 12 your getting minor things to give out to others and the thought of even going past 16 would just be goofy.

Is their a improved bonus type coming that isn't already matched with pretty much everything everyone already has now? Mainly moral? Is their a rework of warchanter itself? Cause chanter 2 kind of sucks. You get reckless. Which also if your stalwart, (Or if racial pre's ever make the light of day and someone were to choose WF or dwarf or choose it as a human base) recklessness isn't going to be affecting them which seemed idiotic but whatever.

But other then that.. I mean 10hp? Well whoopty flippn do lol. Iron chant for 5 dr? Man most people have 5dr naturally. Let alone anyone with have an ounce of self preservation already has GS stoneskin clickies, or can cast stoneskin outright.

I mean don't get me wrong I love my battlebard that I had to use a LR to completly revamp after he was just pimpslapped with the changes, but he could be so much more. So much greater. He could be so much a grander buffer. And sure you could go fatesinger, but it's still no reason for the dudes class pre to just be overshadowed by common gear and stuff now.

I mean seriously do you guys actually spend the points on war 2? I think I even remember reading that it didn't stack with other forms of double strike to. Plus people would probably linch you in EE for dropping their fort into monster prison shank range.

In all honesty i doubt they will do anything with em. You can hope and pray we one day get a enhancement overhaul but at this rate some devs are saying it is not even in there budget to fix new raid weps! So it is not looking good. Bards bring virtually no money to the game. Monks will get 15 new tweaks before we get one.

A ton of the epic destiny stuff and new random loot gen items have kinda made the Warchanter almost obsolete. Inspire heroics, does not stack with friggen random loot gen ****, Nor does inspire recklessness... At those rates, the only True thing any bard has going for them is Fascinate. Everyone else can do just about everything better then a Bard. Whether it be crowd control, Charming, Dps or healing. It is sad!

You just got to embrace the fact the devs do not give a rats ass about bards. It kinda makes doing anything with a bard that much more of a achievement i guess. I gave up around a year ago with the whole bards need love stuff. Were kinda screwed man. I made my fair share of "Bards need love" threads only to be answered by the player base that bards are fine and Rangers, Pallies and Rogues need love! Bards in back of the line.. Even our destiny is one of the weakest.

Bards right now just seem to be left behind. A few of the epic destinies really synced well with classes. Ours is one of the worst. I hope we get some loving but I personally will not get my hopes up... My past experiences have been a big let down with any type of bard buff from the devs. We get no new cool weps.. Some of our items with that p-diddly effect known as Anthem are bugged, Even our epic moment is a slap in the face by the devs. 40 seconds of 40% damage every 5 minutes that does not even work on bosses!

I guess we asked for it. 7 years of singing the same 3 sounding songs will make anyone hate the class. even the original designers!

I agree with you 100% the class is a fun one but with a bit of work it could be truly beastly! Somehow i do not think changing the Madlute is enough though. Songs need to be re-written and tweaked. Bonus's need to be added. Non stacking effects need to be buffed to stack. A lot needs to be done to all 3 prestiges to balance it all out at end game in comparison to the power of the other classes.

Dunno. The heroic areas could use some help, but so could lots of folks. Fixing the songs to work better was a pretty nice boost.

And I think Fatesinger is pretty hot.

True once I finally got my battle bard to LD, and the other destinies, I was thinking...holy hell, I can actually dps now! But as it stands I might end up just wiping em and making an 18/2 ftr rog helf build with a bunch of GS clickies to keep displace up.

Originally the build was a horc 2hf 14/6 warchanter stalwart. Then after leaving him for awhile at 18 and the changes, I found stunning blow was actually viable now with stun 10 being on something other then a weapon. (Even though the cooldown is still bs)

So I took him to 8 fighter to fit in all the feats (took OC epic feat) and he did turn out decent with LD backing him. But even with the horc enhancements (which I wouldn't use on the fighter as id want the survivability first then amp later) kensei 3 would still offer more, namely the extra range.

So idk, I'll prolly just shelf em for now and build up another melee besides barb.
