As title, I'm requesting for a monk build as a bypass class towards completionist,
now im thinking of a wisdom base dark monk which has access to flame blade (druid past life)
while using powerful quivering palm, and curse of void (charming)
races owned:
human elf halfling dwarf drow (also accepting helf)
classes owned:
all
Past lives owned: (if that ever matter)
cleric, sorc, wiz, arti, druid
tomes owned:
str +5, rest +3
main concern:
landing of the ultimate dark move
high doublestrike chance with twf line
optional:
UMD
As you can imagine from my PL, I'm mainly experienced with casters. so now starting to attempt my melee lives, and would like some advice to get my monk PL before going 12ftr/8mnk, 11rgr/9mnk those also bypassing melee lives. Ofc, you could also give advice on those future lives to me also. Thanks for much help.

Here's my take on it:
Half-elf cleric dilettante.
16/15/15/8/16/8
Level ups into wis.
Feats (can take them in that order): Power Attack, Toughness, Stunning Fist, TWF, Dodge, ITWF, GTWF, IC: Blunt, Improved Sunder, (something, maybe precision or another toughness).
Enhancements: level wind/earth stances to IV, don't forget to get ToD.
Go with handwraps: stunning fist is worth it (especially with a +10 stunner).

I would suggest Rockan Robin (http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=210181). It's the build of my main atm and loving it. I had no problem getting my QP and stunning fist to land leveling up, but they're struggling in epics. (But i am in no way optimally geared)

The rockan is a helf, but if you dont have it I imagine human and taking toughness will work out well also.
Past lives owned: (if that ever matter)
cleric, sorc, wiz, arti, druid
If you want to go unarmed, you can take cleric as your human bonus feat for a little more survivability or druid if you want to dual wield. I would recommend the druid PL, though, as cleric would end up being useless at higher levels.
tomes owned:
str +5, rest +3
The rockan works fine enough with just +2s.
main concern:
landing of the ultimate dark move
high doublestrike chance with twf line
Rockan gets the twf line and the touch of death hits 99% of the time. (haven't tried yet with the GMoF epic move)

The only advice on melee I'm certified to give is: hide behind the cleric. :)

Monks have self-healing, but it's very different self-healing from a caster. Even dark monks primarily heal from heal on attack via Vampirism, light monks do that with bells on via Fists of Light. The big gap you will find is in the lack of a spike heal: no Reconstruct button, no Heal button, etc. Fumbling around with Heal scrolls beats all heck out of fumbling around with CSW potions, but it's still a poor substitute.
The big gain you will find is that monks have no SP bar on punching. It will be jarring how little you care about shrines.
I think you will be happiest with a pure human light monk build. It is a real pain getting the material handwraps for DR bypass on a permanent monk, it would be terribly frustrating getting them on a disposable monk just to throw them away. Shintao bypasses that all, and strongly reinforces monk strengths.
For a life not going into epic levels, I would go 16 Str (level-ups) 15 Dex 14 Con 16 Wis.
Feats
TWF & Stunning Fist & Stunning Blow
Power Attack
Improved Sunder
Luck of Heroes & Toughness
Improved TWF
Improved Critical
Greater TWF
Anything
Key Enhancements
Human Versatility 4
Shintao 3
Human and Monk Improved Recovery 3
Grandmaster of Wind
Obtain some Vampiric Stonedust Handwraps, you may never take them off. If you intend to hireling or group some, throw in some Holy of PG wraps.
