I submitted a proposal to the devs almost 3 months ago, (and kept it out of the public eye) about a new airship purchase/ delivery & amenity system.
I have yet to have a response, so I decided to go public with my idea. :cool:
__________________________________________
Let's start with the basics.
1) Any size guild, will be able to purchase any ship style floor-plan currently available.
The current system of acquiring hook-points and amenities remains as is.
So a guild could have a huge lvl 80 airship, but only have the hook points allotted as per the current guild level.
2) A guild (through the ddo store) could purchase Gold Seal amenities one or several levels above their current one. And in some cases the maximum allowed (5% XP shrine for example)
3) Decay buffers. Any guild could purchase Gold Seal decay buffers of 10/ 25 or 50%.
4) New hook-points to replace unneeded altars;
As per a devs video about the changes to augment systems being done in your backpack vs using an altar, that would free up a few hook-points.
New hook-points I've proposed;
PvP pits
Guild Message of the Day (shown in artwork to follow text)
Training mobs (a Bugbear, kobold, wil-o-wisp, whatever) to replace dummy.
House Cannith WF representative to give a disable. open lock buff.
House Dennieth Representative to give a Melee DC buff (trip, sunder & shield bash).
5) New ship colors, and combining of sail cloth, fin options.
ALL ships would have a "Guild Plaque" with name & guild level marquee.

I am aware that high level guild members here on the forums would argue, that a lvl 20 guild can purchase a Floor-plan that they have worked hard for, but the same can be and has been said about many things (+3 &4 tomes as an example) being sold in the store.
Since its introduction, Guild Housing has been wonderful, but it's time to give it a little upgrade.
I submitted this idea back in September 2012, and have had no response, it's a win/ win for everybody. And should earn it's place as a serious consideration.
Thanks for your time, and HAVE A HAPPY HOLIDAY.
