At the moment, there's not much to recommend 18 ranger over 12, but the entire enhancement system is due for an overhaul (in the works more than a year) so everything is up in the air anyway.

I say experiment, talk about your exploits and how you play it...who knows it may someday become an official mode of play...

Still usable, yes.

Still top DPS, no.

Check the build's page. http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=168687

You can see the evolution over the years, and it's changes are pretty well explained there.

It's still a good build. Top? No, but still good.

BUT you need to adapt as the game has changed. They play more like self-healing barbarians than the high-AC Khopesh-ninjas they used to be.

EDs add a lot of power, FoTW looks to be the most synergistic at the time. I Rusted-Blades through Primal Avatar so I can't say I gave it a fair assessment. The best part about FoTW is since Sense Weakness doesn't have to be twisted you can build one on the cheap, they perform well with a 2-1-1 set of twists.

Focus on self-healing, that'll keep you alive now as AC is meh.
