So come on devs, can we get a new mail icon on the small focus orb pls?

I, too, miss the small icon.

I can't count the time I've joined a party or raid group and keep thinking that we're short a party member. :rolleyes: And that's while using the large icon for myself. I'd never check the mail otherwise.

Now I have to check the mail box each time I run past it because the orb notification was removed. It was (IMHO) a very bad design mistake to remove it. Why fix something that wasn't broken?

I just check it when I log in each day. Means I use the AH and a bunch of stuff less, but hey, laziness. With a mail icon on the small bar again, I'd be more up-to-date and likely to use it.

This is just another item in an ever growing list of issues that still need to be addressed from updates many, many moons ago.

I beg of you Turbine, cease with the new content and fix stuff. Honest engine, we can wait for Forgotten Realms 3.0.

Maybe I missed something or I'm not understanding the thread but I still get a mail icon when I have mail. I've never noticed any changes other than it's location when they moved the UI around a few updates back.

That's because you're using the large icon.

Some of us like the small icon, like me. It goes well with all the other small name icons in my grouping.

That's why I put it in the top right corner just above the map. The mail icon is the only reason I have it and it takes up very little space.

And on your screen that might work. I have a small, older flat screen with the format that CRTs used, so my screen real estate is minimal. It's already one third taken up with shortcut bars (if I play my wizard). The large name icon doesn't work for me, therefore the only way I ever know if I have mail is if I walk up to a mail box and click it. Very inefficient.

The mail icon needs to be put back as part of the orb the way it used to be.
