I would say it is subjective. Personally I like it even if it seems kind of like a silly design for a recurve.

Hi,

I don't like the way Pinion looks either. My main has one, but is usually too embarrassed to use it.

It's just a little too JRPG for me. Too big, too spiky and the sonic damage graphic on the top arm bothers me too. Perhaps the next good bow will look better.

In conclusion, I am a shallow person, possibly lacking in taste, and also bah humbug.

I understand where you're coming from, but I also like the look. I like the other non-traditional-looking bows in the game, Unwavering Ardency, Alchemical, and even kinda sorta Sinew.

I like the look of pinion. I can see how people think it's a bit gaudy though.

The bow that doesn't look right to me is sinew. It's way too short. If it was just doubled in length, I think it would look ace.

edit: oh and all the bows in ddo need strings. you hearing me turbine??? :)

Frankly, I like named weapons having unique skins. Even silly looking to some, unique.

How many people hunt up a Lacerator or a Death's Door?

It's kind of reminiscent of Unwavering Ardency from abbot and personally, I like it. I'm not a huge fan of the sonic visual, but I think there should be more cool-looking weapons/armor with spikes, edges, etc. They've headed in the right direction with a few U14+ items, but they need to continue this trend, imo. Most of the stuff is just so bland and boring to look at. If I'm gonna spend time farming something out, I want part of the satisfaction to come from looking like a boss lol :D

I know Lolth was going for a spider motif but it came out rather crab looking, oh well the dps is worth iy, if only it looked more like Roadwatch and less like a crab that got run over by a bulldozer...
